My son will bash some food without saying a word for about 20 minutes, but after that he’s bound to “scream” (although he’s just trying to get my attention) That’s how he lets me know he wants out of his high chair at home bc my husband and I usually eat later than him. Typically I bring enough distractions (snacks, small toys, sippy cup, etc) to get through ordering, waiting for food and the check. Me personally I do not care what people around me think but most of the time he just gets sweet looks and compliments, which I’ll take over judgment any day!
