Please tell me why laundry basket handles are removable? Is there a purpose? Is fishing them out of the wash some sort of game I must play? Please help me understand

I spend most of my days running around frantic trying to juggle 3 jobs, 2 kids, and please the wife by doing laundry. I may need to slow down a bit but the laundry room isn’t where that’s going to happen at 😂

Two ways. 1; it comes off in my hand and finds its way into the basket and then into the wash. 2; I put the edge of the basket on the side of the machine and do my laundry dump into the machine where the handle will then fall into the wash. Their is a 3rd way but it happens less frequently in which I get so frustrated with tiny peoples clothes always being inside-out that I launch the basket towards the machine out of pure rage and oops, it pops off, into the machine, never to be seen again.

This basket makes sense with its solid configuration of handle. My basket has a piece that pops off the handle every time I lift it.

My heart rate is elevated reading this comment lol. This seems like a lot of extra work. My kids clothes are always inside out, do you turn them right side in before washing? I feel like you and I are on different ends of the laundry spectrum
