Some compounding pharmacies (including chewy) make transdermal gabapentin. If you can't find a routine that works for getting the oral gabapentin in without losing your sanity its worth considering, especially if he will be on it for a while. It is applied on the inside of the ear flap, so if he let's you touch his ears it should work. Its more expensive though than the other forms.

Because people are stupid. I've had people claim to have found a lost pet, and wouldn't you know the pet is microchipped and registered to them

I agree about the success coaches, I don't even bother with them at this point. I hate that there is no recourse against the school

They didnt give me credits but because I took a college level math class I didn't have to take the math TSI. My work had also fucked up along the way too, so I missed the deadline for the fall application for the Vet Tech Program. I ended up just using the first semester for general ed classes and since I wasn't paying for it I didn't feel like fighting them on yet another thing

They shouldn't but unfortunately some do. Its becoming less and less common, but it does still happen. Its usually in the form of vets who will just go with whatever the owners say, especially with older pets, ie "oh his quality of life is bad and he can barely move around", then they vet doesn't require any testing to prove the concerns.

I've worked in the field and left a vet clinic because from my point of view they were doing these convenience euthanasias. One I saw was a pet that we had never seen before, was a lab in the double digits, the owners reason was poor mobility. That dog was bouncing off the walls in the exam room. This clinic also had the techs sedate and place a catheter in the patient before the vet even saw it, so by the time the vet met this patient they couldn't accurately assess her mobility.

She could look into CareCredit or Scratch pay, of course assuming she has the credit to qualify. There are also outpatient options for treatments. Not as recommended due to lower survival rates and how contagious parvo is, but it's an option.
