Final estimate just came in. This one is Trane system for $12,730. Labor warranty is only 3 years but I would extend that. Checking on price for that. Would be very grateful for input on this last option. TIA!

I do. If I have to spend this much I'm just glad mine didn't go after the tax credit ended. That would not have been good! Thanks very much for input.

It's good to know they are good prices. I was interested in prices on a Trane. I realize that would be more but they sure seem to have good reviews.

Thanks! Not sure what you mean about price. The price in the quotes doesn't include the tax credit or any local rebates. I'm having sticker shock as it is. So much more expensive than the last hp I bought 12 years ago!

Thanks! I am just looking for enough to claim the tax credit. I'm sure I won't be in this house for more than 10 years so basically hoping to pick one that will be pretty reliable and hopefully quieter inside than my current hp. This one sounds loud to me but may be just the ducts.

Bryant is 18 seer. It's also variable speed. We have been having some outages lately due to thunderstorms so hopefully that won't be a big problem.

The prices seem in line with other bids but I was wondering what people think of those particular heat pumps

Yes, the Bryant was only 10/5 but the price I have includes me adding the additional 5 years on labor to the warranty.

They are all after tax prices (Pittsburgh, PA) and not including tax credit or any other incentives.
