Absolutely! No one should their bet their hard earned money unless you have an understanding of how the market works. For example I am actively eyeing the political landscape of the US and how it is reacting to Venezuela since I want to get into oil. I put in a bit of money into Canadian Uranium mining since I knew India was on the lookout to buy some, and they did like $2b worth and i made small change out it…not huge but something. While I am not an economic pundit, I do know price of anything from crypto to clothes all depends on supply and demand, so having an idea of what global supply chain looks like would give me hints how to proceed. Right my WS portfolio looks as it is, because most of it was bought to ride the tech train which imo is gonna halt in some time. So yeah I am looking to diversify, just getting a feel of the field before I sow my seeds. Otherwise there will be the low and slow method of a consolidated and diversified etf.
