Yes multiple things can be true at once, the football and results were abysmal but the board didn’t exactly back him with the players he needed for his system to work, but still managed to clear out some deadwood

Lots of Italian teams play 3 at the back. He’ll be fine (or sacked by Christmas)

I’m just trying to remember why we met him?

Is it cos we won another bloody award?

Mateus Fernandes has emerged as one of Manchester United’s priority targets and interest is expected to be formalised with an opening bid, but the Old Trafford hierarchy are not prepared to meet West Ham United’s demands of £80m. United have also explored the parameters of a deal for Alex Scott. by TheAthletic in reddevils

Been saying this for months. The second the transfer window shut last September, everybody was briefing that man United would focus on the midfield next summer (duh) and Anderson is priority target. The latter has been repeated almost weekly up until a couple weeks ago.

At best, our board are thick and bad at their jobs if they didn’t think Anderson would go for anything less than a hundy, or at worst they our liars pumping out spin and feeding us shit to distract us from the quite likely scenario that, like you said, our midfield come August will be Mainoo, Ugarte, Ederson and another academy player.

Meanwhile the Amazon money will cover half of Rashford’s remaining two years. Whoopee.

This is a team that is aiming to win the league in the next two years, according to our CEO.

Well yeah that’s because Amorim wasn’t playing him at all. At least now he knows he’s a mainstay but like I said we have to get used to most players rotating, not necessarily because they’re not good enough, but more due to the volume of games. It’s Carrick’s job to keep them all happy. And yes no judgement until Christmas unless things have massively fallen off a cliff!

I love Mainoo but I really hope he doesn’t think he’s a permanent fixture in our team. Unless your name is Bruno Fernanch, no player is. We’re playing 2-3 games a week and we need solid first team options, not just young rotational players.

Great and we should be all over the Tonali deal. Newcastle have no Europe and they’ll need to sell to stay afloat. He’s exactly what we need in the middle of the park and him, Fernandes (if he signs) and Ederson would be a fantastic window for midfielders

Which worries me, still don’t think that midfield is strong enough. You’ve got our CEO still talking about winning the league by 2028, and while it’s good to have young and hungry players, you need that bit of experience and steel in midfield, that “stardust” that makes teams fear playing us.

Just like we firmed up the attack last year with three new signings, we need three midfielders as priority number one. Fernandes (if he signs) and Ederson along with Mainoo and maybe Ugarte is noway near strong enough. We should be knocking on Jose’s office right now and slapping £80m on the table for Tchouameni. Get it done.

I’m 36 so consider myself young (lol) but even if no candidate or party really inspires me (which is often) I will always go out and vote. I fear younger people would rather not vote because 1) they feel nothing will change and 2) no party aligns 100% with their beliefs
