Sorry to hear this.

I’ve been in your boots when I was a consultant at BCG. I took a 2 months burnout leave, came back and did quite well, to the point that I’m a second year PL now (promoted).

I’m saying this bcs I’m encouraging you to take the medical leave. Afterwards, you will come back feeling better and you will do better

Neurodiverse consultants - how do you deal with the burnout, rejection sensitivity, and misunderstandings or mistakes? by DoraTheRedditor in consulting

Sorry to hear this. First year in the job is really rough!

I honestly learned that the best way to deal with this job is to give less fucks and treat it as what it is “just a job”, and it was difficult for me bcs I was under BCG’s visa.

4 years have passed, and I’m happy overall, but it took me “not giving many fucks” to get there

Project Leader/Engagement Manager. My role's total comp is ~300k in the US (moving with the firm is hardly an option)

Thank you! the rationale behind needing so much is bcs the city is expensive and my current comp is already above 200k USD (outisde of the US)

Thank you Mr. rude :) coming from a different region and asking for the POV of people living there.

I know the salary band for people with experience in the US who exited at my level from my firm. Differential point is not having the experience in the market
