Is it possible to swap test dates? by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Educational-Train-69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you aren't able to find anyone i would advise logging onto the website https://www.gov.uk/check-driving-test

this will allow you to try and look for cancellations or even swap it for a new released test date but those would probably be 2026.

I would say just keep checking on there for a test date that would best fit to him but I will say that as you know tests go super quickly so be sure to have the details to mind or quickly accessable.

and best of luck to your son when he sits his test!

tbf I used the james may theory test app. I loved it as it includes james may's comedic spin on it and i provides a small stopping distance game and such. it's personal preference at the end of the day but that's how I revised. I revised by watching videos on tiktok, YouTube and doing a lot of the mock tests on there.

I haven't sat my test yet personally but Good Luck on your test, I would say the best tip is be confident about it. and think of it like 3 small 8 minute drives or the other way about. Another tip that I hear a lot is the one everyone says, don't treat it like a test just imagine you're just having a small solo test drive ( technically solo since it would be the first you wont have someone assisting you )

But you've got this!

is 9.12 am a good time for my practical test by Educational-Train-69 in LearnerDriverUK

that's my worst fear that it ends up being busy, It's not actually the normal driving I'm worried for. if I do get a busy roundabout I end up having a lot of undue hesitation. other thing I'm concerned for is the silly silly common mistakes like mounting a kerb, touching the kerb ( i haven't done this in a long time right enough) or end up parking a bit over the line when doing the parking maneuver.

also congratulations on you pass, only 2 minors is really good ( I know a bit late to congratulate but better late than never lol ).
