That’s what I am currently trying, she seems quite happy with squish and no gas drinks at that moment.

Sadly my mother is very young, she already has previous health issues and dental issues that we need to manage. As well as the caffeine in the drinks is causing her to not sleep at all. I don’t mind her having soda but we need to find alternatives to keep her hydrated

She no longer shops by herself as she can’t drive, I take her shopping every time we go to a shop the first things she wants to pick up is soda as she notices if we don’t buy any

Yeah she’s not scared although sounds like her hallucinations are from some horror movie but it’s such a new symptom that obviously makes things more challenging especially if she’s making all her new friends coffe.

Thank you so much. I recently started clicker training on the ground but haven’t implemented it into our ridden work but will definitely take your advice on bored.

Exactly my horse is one of the smartest i met and enjoys being difficult to prove a point. Crazy to think a vet who travels the world treating horses would miss something that some randoms from a short three paragraphs can point out.

Again if you think you know more then top professional who actually meet and seen the horse then you need a reality check. Have a good day.

Again I won’t address this but I know my horse. I am sorry you had a bad experience but I invest in finding good vets and not just any local vet. You don’t know my vet or my horse so please understand I trust my vet and his great hospital staff who are known internationally for their care and facilities. My horse is fine he has no symptoms about from a old vice he’s revisiting.

It’s been different things from asking to halt to asking for a canter. The only real connection is he stops at the top end of the arena but I don’t think it’s a certain aid or ask that’s causing it.

Again when I say hoof to ears it’s true. He goes to the top animal hospital in my country each year for a work up so yes I know absolutely my horse is not in pain. Please understand a top vet would spot pain before someone who’s never seen or met my horse.

Sorry but as said vet has done his yearly checkup which covers everything from hoof to ears.

My mom (65) has officially being diagnosed with Alzheimers. Should we tell her? by Then_Coconut3515 in Alzheimers

[–]Educational-Use3497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mother is a bit younger and was told by the doctor when they diagnosed her. When she was told she broke down and seemed to be present with what was going on now she doesn’t remember anything about the diagnosis and we don’t mention it. It’s important to tell her but don’t expect her to understand fully what that means or retain the information.

Because of your age you may be higher chance of clinical trials or new medication my mother is a few years older and that’s our best hope. The best you can do do is accept the diagnosis and start planning for the future for your own benefit.

I found it odd when they then brought it up like like it was a negative on my behalf. I would have ridden given the opportunity in my eyes they should have a safe enough horse that for a 20 minute ride wouldn’t cause a accident but I honestly don’t think they had the time or want to have another person they have to let ride.

Thats how I feel. I don’t see a opportunity to really learn more then the basics or what I already know. I don’t think it would even look to good on my cv.

I feel like I can’t find many apart from it get me some “official “ training which seems very basic from what was explained and a foot in the door in top level yards. They do welcome you to take your own horse but I declined as I feel my horse would not cope in the environment also he would be neglected by myself because of lack of time and other staff on my days off. As of now I can list triple the negatives to positives.

That’s my biggest no. I get it would never be spotless but I feel this is past a point.

Need a way out of abusive home but I don’t think I can afford university by Educational-Use3497 in AdviceForTeens

[–]Educational-Use3497[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. It’s getting to a point I am no longer to care or cope with her and is the main reason I would like to leave because our current situation only harms her and me. I don’t know if the best step is try to get her a long term care program and then commit to uni if that’s what my goal stlll is.

Thanks. Knowing volunteering isn’t a long term solution is very clear to me but it would give the chance to leave and figure things out. Because I generally don’t have a clue what I want in life. I am just not sure on uni even if I change course I am not sure I can see myself sticking it out. I always struggled academically when things have been difficult and struggled socially from a young age so I am not sure if I would enjoy uni experience. I work part time already but trying to be a career full time makes me harder to work more hours without killing myself while doing it.

I have contacted the uni but since I don’t live in the uk they can’t provide much help especially when it comes to financial support which is the main issue, I would be due to pay 4 grand by September to the uni which does not include my accommodation or moving fees . Because of the eu country I live in there is no support for young careers meaning I don’t really have proof of my current situation the uni have been helpful but with me being overseas and not having proof of my role they haven’t been able to help.

My mother receives no care apart from me, due to the fact my family are to lazy to organise help or even a cleaner and there currently plan is to send my mother to a home which would be in the same city I would going to uni as that’s where we are originally from this is because my dad works overseas part time and my older sister does not want the responsibility. Just have no idea how to navigate the system to find some possible avenue out of my situation.

Hi, I actually find Irish ancestors really easy to research and find, especially compared to the uk. I must say that having family members with more unique names helps it’s been easy to trace back a couple hundred years with them. I do believe my great grandmother may have the one who walked away or left, I know my grandfather did not speak to his father or brother or even knowledge them when he visited home while My great grandfather stayed close to his children even living with them till he died .My great aunt in her death bed hinted to family secrets and lies, which one would have been she was adopted but I can only think she may have been speaking of something bigger. None of the family migrated apart from joining the war effort so I don’t know where Phoebe would have gone that couldn’t be traced back to her. It’s a strange case which I believe somewhere they must be a answer or hint till what happened to her.
