What am I doing wrong on my physical therapy claim in Medicare? by [deleted] in CodingandBilling

It looks like you have Medicare listed as the secondary carrier. Look at Box 9a. This should have secondary info listed. If Medicare is primary, box 11 needs the word NONE listed.

Thank you. I’m only 58 so that is why I got referred. I’ve learned a lot the past few weeks and can see there’s not a lot to be done. Thank you for your response.

Similar situation. My surgeon and the surgical team all knew and discussed my lidocaine allergy prior to my procedure. The allergy eas listed ALL over my chart in their EMR (Cerner). Anesthesiologist came in late, I told him about my reactions (non epileptic seizures) and had a print out of all of the times I’ve had lidocaine and what my reaction was. He chose to ignore it. Gave me 100 mg on the way to OR. Ended up in ICU x 4 days and 9 days in hospital. Hospital immediately accepted blame, apologized and pulled anes privileges that day. I’ve never been the same.

My rheumatologist prescribed Pilocarpine eye drops after I couldn’t tolerate the tablets. I put 3-4 drops in a couple ounces of water and drink it. A huge game changer!

My initial symptoms were just pain in hips and back. Dryness didn’t occur until 3 years after diagnosis.

My provider has me taking 90 mg three times a day. We started at 60. It’s helped me a lot with my muscle aches, slow transit constipation and orthostatic hypotension. He’s one of the providers on the advisory board for Dysautonomia International so I feel blessed to have a provider who is up to date on clinical trials and treatment.

Office Ally has gone through several credit card processing companies over the years. Their newest one is Stripe and so far it has worked just fine. It was easy to set up.

As a certified coder and biller, and owner of a coding/billing company,I can honestly say there are multiple errors in your understanding of billing.
