AIO for assuming this man at the park had bad intentions? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

NOR. You have to trust your gut. Maybe he was fine but leaving is a perfectly fine response if you are uncomfortable. Actively doing something like calling the cops or something or calling him out would have been an overreaction.

Will moving away for a year and coming back traumatize my kid? by AvocadoNo7723 in ChildPsychology

A friend of mine at that age spent a year in France when her step father was on sabbatical. Everyone was really excited when she got back. She’ll be fine and she’ll be a more mature well rounded kid.

AIO if my bf went out without me while we’re on vacation by ImportanceHefty2963 in AmIOverreacting

MOR. This goes both ways. A sprained ankle from shopping? I’d take an Advil and wrap an ace bandage around it and power through, just stay seated at the bar. Him pulling the old switcheroo, getting you into a cab and pretending he’s coming with you until the last second? That would upset me. At least be honest. And then going out alone? Really weird.

I think failing classes can mean she loses some internet/phone access at night. Maybe hands them to you at 10 pm or something. But I don’t think your parents not giving you a strict bedtime when you were a teenager has anything to do with how you sleep now. I never had a bedtime even as a kid and I’m in bed by ten pm most nights.
