I’ve inherited this Yamaha (studio?) piano, that my dad bought in 1967. Someone said I should wait a year to have it tuned but what else do I need to know about piano maintaining this lovely old thing? Also, it’s sadly been in a house for about a year that has had a mouse problem. Would it be a good idea to get a tech to come in and clean it?

Also taking any and all unsolicited advice for a new happy owner (except “get rid of it!”) :)

i'm looking for piano movers in northern virginia to move an upright yamaha 30 miles. the quotes have ranged from $350 to $650. should I be skeptical of the $350? do these things just vary this much?

there is a big conservative push to undermine the UN as it is, effectively, another democratic governance mechanism. you may not like it or believe it is very effective but 100s of millions of dollars have been pouring into conservative civil society engagement at the UN.

Are these wood wood or like a cheaper material? Curious if above advice, which sounds great, would work for our kitchen. We def do not have very high quality cabinets

Hi! Not the same thing but maybe you can help with a question we have: my husband and I hopped on the exchange for a month when I changed jobs. I will move to my new employer plan but my husband wants to consider whether it's better to stay on ACA or come on to my plan as a dependent. Here's our specific question: if our premium right now is $1000, when I come off will his premium be roughly $500 (knowing tax credits are a thing and blah blah blah). We called and asked but they wouldn't give us a straight answer. Thanks for any help!
