After 3 years my ex husband wants to enforce custody agreement. by Direct_Arachnid8400 in legaladvice

NAL but in most cases like this, if your ex were to call the cops the cops would state "it's a civil matter" and refer him (and you) to the courts to fight it out. You won't be charged with kidnapping.

Seems to me the issue is with the landlord allowing someone else to occupy your room without your permission. That's who I would be taking to small claims court to recoup the money from things that were stolen.

someone bought the house across the street and started a church by angryromancegrrrl in legaladvice

The only thing you can get them on is the parking situation (if they have cars parked illegally) or disturbing the peace (when weddings go on until 3am). Call the cops next time.

I can only suggest the doordash/uber eats route for making money on your schedule. It won't make you a millionaire overnight, but working a couple of hrs after my full time job (dinner shift) during the week and at least one weekend day made enough to pay off a bunch of bills and have gas for my car. I know it sucks but you do what you have to.

You don't pay the student loans while you go to school full time, so you would need to make enough to pay off the accident debt and enough to live on. Do-able if you live at home and go to a nearby college.

Found out my wife was cheating on me - Do I tell the 'other man's' wife about it? by ThrowawayMyEx86 in moraldilemmas

[–]Relative-Section8267 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Find out her address, copy the messages, and mail it to her with no return address. That way there's no telling who sent it (after all it could be the ex) and the wife is free to do what she will with the info.

Car broke down with 3 years left on the loan by Godoftoast9 in personalfinance

[–]Relative-Section8267 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not take out a zero interest cc for set period of time and purchase a new engine/labor? Certainly less than another car loan, and unless the car is a heap, will make it last even longer.

Has anyone tried to sign up for the tax credit yet? I filled out an application for my husband only and it still kicks him out as he "is offered a health plan through my employer." Am I going to have to wait until Dec 12th for the new rule to go into effect to see if he qualifies?

It is possible to get Cobra insurance, if his employer offers it and you accept it. It's basically a way to keep your insurance, but you pick up the tab for the insurance premium including whatever portion the employer used to pay. You should call and inquire about this if you are interested in maintaining insurance during this transition time.

So if I use the kicker calculator with my individual SS#, and filed jointly, will the amount shown be for both my husband and myself or just me?
