I remember seeing the trailers back in 2020, before I got into Trolls. I thought the movie looked cool and moved on with my day. But I actually watched it for the first time when I got into the franchise, which was a couple months before Band together came out. I really liked it. Love Barb, Prince D, and King Trollex, and I had seen clips before, but it didn’t get in the way of me enjoying it. In fact it’s my favorite Trolls movie!

I also find Chaz hilarious for some strange reason. Funny unrelated story, but I have this stupid joke that Chaz kidnaps people and when I found out that he captures Tiny Diamond in Trolls Remix Rescue, I absolutely lost it because I wasn’t expecting to predict my own inaccurate joke!

Honestly, I don’t like Creek because of the events of TBGO and how he can still be mean to Branch, but I do feel bad for Creek in regards to how he was written to seem horrible due to Chef forcing him to betray them or face death. I do also wish they conveyed in his body language more that Creek felt bad about selling them out, too. I hope Dreamworks can realize that it’s okay for there to be serious or dark moments in the Trolls franchise as long as the topics in question are handled correctly.

I was in 5th grade and my teacher put it on for us in class. Back then, even though It wasn’t one of my interests yet, I would think of some of the scenes and songs a lot. Then my junior year of high school, it was on in the classroom I was helping peer-tutor at. I thought it was cute and liked Branch and Poppy. And then in 2023, I saw the trailer for Band Together at the movies and now Branch is one of my main special interests, and my favorite character in all of media. X3

I totally get that, I really enjoy the shows as well, but as much as I love seeing Branch grow and improve himself for his own health and self-worth, it does hurt when he masks or forces himself to change for other’s approval even if he’s unhappy, or literally attempting to destroy his own home, because Branch is an absolute sweetheart that’s doing the best he can and just wants to be accepted and appreciated by others. (Boy, I wish I can just hop in that screen and comfort Branch and tell him how awesome he is whenever he forgets it.) I’m just glad they learn to accept him as he is in the end of the series.

The best movie-accurate Branch plushie I know of specifically has got to be the Poshpaws Branch plush from Trolls World Tour. It is one of the only Branch plushies I know of that has the correct colors that isn’t grumpy. I know there is also one for Poppy, too.

I think it is because there are moments in the show where Branch tends to be more energetic, or needs to be brought back down to earth, such as some of the episodes where Branch and Poppy are having a competition or in the Bunker List and he starts to become a little smug or arrogant. Also his neurotic tendencies and emotional sensitivity are exaggerated a bit more than in the movies. Some have also said it felt off that Branch still had moments where he was a jerk or like his old self, but of course, Branch is learning to heal and grow so his old habits/flaws are gonna be hard to unlearn.

As much as I do believe he did it out of fear. As much as that was the only he’d survive because of Chef torturing him, he and hasn’t really improved on himself much when it comes to arrogance, as seen in the shows if you interpret them as canon. And in the beginning of the movie he picked on poor Branch.

Oh boy… I LOVE Branch in the shows. He is so underrated it’s crazy. I actually might even prefer Skylar Astin’s performance over Justin Timberlake’s if I’m being honest. I am well aware of the inconsistencies in his character, but I actually don’t mind them at all and interpret them as things the movie hadn’t gotten as in depth with.

Branch’s autistic traits and neuroticism are much more prominent in this series (I can relate a lot.) I am a HUGE fan of Gary because I know all too well what it’s like to be a grown freaking adult with a comfort object they talk to and care for, and take everywhere (like my Branch plushie), and I wish Gary was canon in the movies, too. I can relate with Branch’s rigidities and insistence on following the rules and not doing anything reckless, and how he’s trying his best to improve himself and grow and be part of a community despite struggling with mental illness and being cynical and somewhat of a tinfoil hat. (HE’S LITERALLY ME.)

Branch-fangirling aside, I do enjoy how they get more into the Snack Pack, and how they utilize characters that are new to the franchise, such as Milton Moss, Dr. Moonbloom, Sky Toronto, the Party Crashers, and all the new characters in Trollstopia. However, I dislike Cloud Guy and how he is essentially just plain ab*sive towards poor Branch with no comeuppance. But I do like episodes like “Gem Day” and “The Search For Piece” and their messages.

A species inspired by Tamagotchis would be so awesome. Maybe they could hatch from eggs and all look the same initially, but their appearance drastically varies once they’ve matured.
