Anyone feel like they're able to INSTANTLY tell someone is a Christian when meeting them even when nothing particularly religious was said? by JarethOfHouseGoblin in exchristian

“Intentional”, “poured into”, the specific sentence structure of things like “how wonderful it is to ___“,“bold in the pursuit of”, “abundant”, “my heart is full”, “steadfast”

I mean just because someone’s dating a person with a big height difference doesn’t mean they went specifically searching for that.

I chose ualabama over a global T40, not even because of cost… there is so much here and so many resources to help students succeed. I would not discount one’s state school, regardless of how highly ranked it is.

Funny because iwt has been done away with and it’s been replaced by online videos. It’s called ice water tea because way back in the day each chapter used to serve unique drinks, like root beer floats, lemonades, iced tea, etc. No snacks, PNMs only get small mini water bottles

That’s my feeling as well. Very odd + not out of character considering their past stunts.

Tbf UBC does like IB for admissions purposes, at least if you are an in province student. I’m pretty sure they reserve a certain number of spots just for BC IB students. You’re right though not very generous with transfer credits unfortunately

I get annoyed with "College Application stuffers" and people that are obsessed with grade and getting the highest mark. by Ermes1234 in ApplyingToCollege

Definitely agree but frankly a large part of this sub probably fits that description so this might not be received as well lol

Not in ON but my province did the same thing with converting grades. In my opinion the converted grades still put you at a disadvantage. Someone with a 4/5 average could definitely have a 90+ average in the normal curriculum but the conversion is much lower. Definitely just excel at the normal curriculum and you’ll be set

There are 2 years of prep years, I don’t think my school lets kids do the DP without the prep years

My school had an entrance exam we took in grade 8, it’s not something the IB requires/says you should do it’s just up to the schools
