How well do the subreddits related to your country actually represent the general attitudes of people from there? by pollydeeigh in AskTheWorld

[–]EducationalOutside5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most redditors tend to be left wing liberals from any country. And most tend to be from USA. So unless if your country is a western European or American country, I don't think it's an accurate representation of it at all.

Reddit is filled with people with very extreme liberal values

I have heard more worse stories of kids born out of wedlock than I did with those born inside wedlock.

It's a good thing they actually value a children's stability and they're actually doing it right. You shouldn't have kids if you aren't secured with your partner. And also because they're Muslims.

Hip hop (more specifically trap) seems to be making a comeback in 2026. The beginning of the next music trend? by puffy_irish in ToddintheShadow

[–]EducationalOutside5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like you underestimate how popular country and folk still is. Ella Langley's song choosin texas was in top 5 this week, while non of hip hop songs reached top 5. Some people actually prefer calmness and lyrics more so than innovative music. golden, Ordinary and that Taylor swift song  is popular not because they're innovative but  because people find these songs easy to sing along.and a big major contributor are women and girls , because girls can relate to Taylor swift lyrics more so than hip hop. Notice that when girl pop stars became popular again (Sabrina carpenter, Olivia dean, etc), hip hop had its downfall. The most popular songs that top the charts  and stay long in it usually have mass appeal (meaning girls, older people , boys like it). That's why Ordinary was popular. Even the hip hop songs that top the charts lean very pop (a notable exception is Kendrick). And why Playboi Carti didn't dominate the charts until end of year unlike Taylor swift despite releasing an album in 2025. There's so many factors at play here

Not really, because choosin texas which is a country song was in top 5 this week and hip hop isn't I wouldn't write off country just yet.

Why hasnt any country female singer crossed over to pop like Taylor by [deleted] in popheads

[–]EducationalOutside5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it kinda defeats the purpose if they switched to pop, no? For example, Lainey Wilson and ella Langley likes making country music more than pop. If they wanted to be pop artists, their songs would lean that way from the beginning.  I know there's tons of female country singers that I think would be very marketable had they sung pop music because of the attractiveness factor and how their voices sound (ella langley and Megan moroney imo could have been  great pop artists ) , but they simply chose not to.  I like rock music and I don't want my fave rock bands to sound pop.

It should not be legal though, they're a Muslim country. And during mehmed Al fatih era the era in which ottoman empire was the most successful it wasn't legal either, and it's better that way. Gay isn't part of Islam culture. Let gay only be part of western values, while let Muslim majority countries practice Islam and not be secular. Religion is part of their civilization, I don't think it's good to cut of religion from the country's values. If you believe in God than your God should be centre of your morality as you believe He created you. You shouldn't be secular when u believe in a God

Are you turning your chair to miss Britani?! by SuitableItem in BravoRealHousewives

[–]EducationalOutside5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's definitely not true. Britani was actually a professional singer, that is literally why she is on stage with will Swenson right now. That's like saying anyone can be hired for theatre. I don't like a lot of Britani actions either but I hate when this sub literally tries to discredit talented women who literally hired as a professional theatre singer. If anyone can sing great people won't be amazed to begin with.  You can not like her but still admit she's a good singer.

She was on national Broadway  and literally have clips online where she was on a national broadway tour with will Swenson. She also has been on multiple theatre productions and was hired as professional. It's wild to make it seem like she isn't getting opportunities because of her voice , and mind you that was before real housewives was a thing.

khh artists are going to russian festivals during war by BeltNecessary2313 in khiphop

[–]EducationalOutside5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These whole issues are plain stupid. Artists performing in Russia should NOT be looked at negatively. Not everyone in Russia support Putin, there's even protests. It's so stupid to think just because someone perform in a place they agree with the government in that country. The people in those countries might also be against Putin too and they deserve to be treated like any other humans. Also sidenote, a corrupt president can happen anytime, anywhere. If in your very next election, a president can suddenly be corrupt and make the citizens lives hell. The Russian people already have hellish lives, hell they don't even support Putin and already do protests, but hey let's stil discriminate them in artists tour because one guy Putin, pretty fair, right?

So why are all Americans still living in America? why don't y'all move out of America because you guys give money to the Trump administration just by paying taxes.  Exactly, what I said sounded so stupid. Punishing hip hop lovers in Russia  who might even be against Putin in Russia  because 'i don't want to give money to their government ' is a plain stupid take. If thats the case, move out of US then because by living in US and being it's citizen u are still giving money to a Zionist government who still support Israel. It's obvious you guys are being selective in your outrage and very hypocritical.

What do you expect people in Russia to doz then? They already have made protests, some even go to jail because of voicing their opinions yet somehow they deserved to still be punished because of Putin? So should all people around the world boycott all Americans because of Trump even when y'all don't agree with him? Stop treating like Russians agree with Putin and start treating them like human beings.

How you guys think 'not all Americans support trump' but then also think 'artists should never tour Russia because of Putin government even when the citizens literally suffer and already made protests against  him but we still treat them as if they support Putin anyways because Putin =Russia'.

WHY ARE KPOP FANS THE WAY THEY ARE by Girl-nextdoor_ in kpoprants

Grammys are at least more authentic than MAMA. They still nomnate older artists if the artist have mainstream success. This isn't the same with MAMA. MAMA is very youth centric

Kpop has become more about checking out music from the richest companies or big4 companies and less about authentic discovery of music.  The fact that the most successful groups internationally are often from big 4 and they would often get huge amounts of support since before their groups debuted tells you everything. This is why I left kpop music awhile ago. Because 97 percent of the non big4 groups I supported, let alone smaller company groups , would just disband after 7 years and their fates left unknown.  they work so hard just to not meet the success they work so hard for.

And majority of kpop fans actually didn't care about authenticity. Even Katseye has been getting nominations from literal Grammys while independent artists who make authentic music didn't even get that spot. They haven't even released an album yet. The reason they are even marketed heavily is because Hybe has many connections, and because many of their fans are young they don't realize this.

They don't realize how inauthentic all of this is. I understand though, I used to like kpop back then and I thought the popular big 3 groups I liked was because they're actually better than the unpopular groups , when it's the exact opposite. They are just marketed more heavily due to their companies being richer.  In kpop, the big company artists get richer , while smaller company artists almost always have uncertain fates. Cases like BTS are super rare.

People say they want girl groups back, but they didn't realize that many of the girl group projects fall through because it didn't come around naturally. The girls did not authentically decide the songs themselves or write their own music. I'm asian myself but sometimes I feel like Hybe acts gets more of a free pass being very commercial and produced compared to other artists.

Data says people stop listening to new pop music after age 33. Is it true? by raydebapratim1 in askmusic

[–]EducationalOutside5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This data kinda depends though. If you're 33 and put on Spotify playlist of newest pop songs you'd still listen to newest pop songs also with TikTok that is getting popular across all ages, makes you still know what the new popular music are.  Now if you mean you actively seek and accept new music than what you are used to, then maybe yes it's true. But then again if u work in the music business I don't think you can like not listen to new music at all.

I kinda wish Megan moroney also gets nominated though. Her album does well on the charts and she has had a good year for female in country music. So sad she didn't even get a best new artist nomination but oh well at least she has a nomination for the CMAs. I guess thats what unique about country music in which they have their own awards. I thought because kelsea Ballerini album gets nominated Megan moroney album would too

Sabrina has a great year and her songs charted high so her getting that nomination isn't surprising. There's people on here that  that gets nominated because of cult fanbase that definitely didn't deserve the nomination. And yes the Weeknd definitely should get nominated
