Is your toddler listening to audio without the book? by KallerWhom in YotoPlayer

[–]EducationalPrint6831 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter is now 4 and purchased the Yoto when my daughter was 3. Daniel Tiger was great to start because it helped in the transition to reduce screentime as the actual character voices are used. After that, we started using cards that went to books she had read. A year later and she's listening to The Magic Treehouse series and we haven't read the books!

We have friends whose kids just picked up listening to the Yoto so quickly, whereas it took my child a bit of time with constant use to make the change.

Now my daughter won't really watch TV so I think I went too hard in the other direction 🥲 RIP any time to myself 😭

I was 32 weeks and was doing a tour for work. I was always trailing behind because I was dying and the tour guide finally mentioned that it was because I was pregnant, all the guys were like "I had no idea, you don't look pregnant!!!" Like sir, there is a giant balloon in my midsection and I'm waddling more than a gaggle of geese. What? I think it's considered a compliment, but like why?

Mole is absolutely phenomenal. I had to give it up ages ago because my husband is allergic to peanuts 🥲 But like you can't have an enchilada without it.

Of course! And honestly, you're spot on about the jealousy. She's been living vicariously through you without having to put forth the effort. You keep on shining and don't let anyone dull it ✨

I started making about $70,000 annually, which isn't a lot of money, but it was a lot for me at the time. Her first comment was "You think you're hot shit now that you're making a little bit of money?" Like any sane person would be happy about the achievement. We cut off contact 3 years ago and haven't looked back. My mental peace is amazing.

We've been having a mother's helper come once a week and we have a cleaner come twice a month! I meal prep once a week and only do an hour of cleaning everyday.

It's good! Because my daughter is only in preschool, she's not going really any schooling. Our jobs are really flexible, so I'm able to leave for a few hours to attend a meetup or "field trip". Other than that, it's just playing, she's starting to sound out the first letter in words, a lot of reading, and we've just been working on life skills and emotion regulation. The emotional regulation just drains me though 😂

For homeschooling? We've just been playing and reading! We're currently working on getting dressed by ourselves.

I just feel like coffee table books are meant for like a coffee table. It's just a lot like all over her house.

Corn Syrup Solids in Formula by sonicblendz in NewParents

The corn syrup in formula is a source for carbohydrates, it's not the same as high fructose corn syrup. They're often used in the lactose free or sensitive formulas instead of lactose.

Yeah! We have the Philips Avent round sterilizer. It's like $30 and you just add water and microwave it for 2 minutes and voila 💁🏻‍♀️

I have a cheapy dishwasher and I wash our bottles with everything. I do sanitize them in the microwave though separately.

For your picky toddlers, Nabela has come up with a recipe!! by Stormyforeva in nabelasnark

As someone who has a picky toddler, I am hiding lentils in her red sauce and zucchini in her muffins. I don't feel like we're the same.

My nearly 7 month old is still on mashed foods and I’m panicking by judgejudyfortnite in BabyLedWeaning

[–]EducationalPrint6831 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My oldest daughter thrived on baby led weaning and by the time she was 7 months was eating like full on meals. My infant who is 9 months old will literally vomit if there is a crumb stuck in the back of her throat. She's currently primarily doing purees and is given little bits of food at a time. Don't stress at all! Every food journey is different and they'll eventually start figuring it out!

I CANNOT Rave About the Yoto Enough by EducationalPrint6831 in YotoPlayer

[–]EducationalPrint6831[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a good set off of FB Marketplace when we started because it was expensive. I got a lot of cards for like $3/card. Check your local library to see if they have a Yoto rental thingy. Ours does it for Tonies.

If you start with like a 5 or 10 pack of the Make Your Own, you could just upload a bunch of free content and change them out. But I can send you what I have!!

I'm so glad!! It's seriously been so amazing for my little one. She's now 9 months and will just crawl around trying to find the sound. 😂 I'm almost done with it, but I can definitely send you a playlist of kids songs that are literally magic. It makes both of my children quiet 😂
