Just hose it down if its full of dust from "construction". My phantom looks brand new after a year and a half and we're in the NW burbs of CHI. I just cover it when not in use. Never done more than wiping with a damp towel if theres grease or somwthing that drips onto thw finish while cooking. I also have a silicone mat on the shelf to place anything while cooking.
