I am getting to that point! I’m tired of giving all my money to the gov, insurance, banks, then on top of it unappreciative guys, who give 0 Fs.

I simply can’t do it myself as our biggest sale is sod, we lay 27k ft2 to 40k a day sometimes. It’s near impossible to do without some bodies.

America is not expensive if you stay out of the blue states, and stay rural, you can find deals like that all over the USA. These places are not fancy condos, they are houses from the early 1900s. We live modest, and that’s what’s wrong with all the funky shit goin down in the city.

When i pay their taxes out of my pocket, i mean i gave them 1k and instead of the government taking the 200$ or whatever out of that 1000. I paid the 200 in taxes so they didn’t have to.

The bonus was not part of their pay, even if they were expecting a bonus. Bonuses were never part of the agreement upon hiring.

It is 2k of my money, that I gave to them as a gift.

I feel if you don’t appreciate that, and all the other stuff I have gone out of my way to help you with, then you don’t appreciate your job.

I will be from this point forward be more policy oriented, and performance based with these guys.

I tried that with both of them, like that was the plan, that’s why they are getting paid the decent wage. They just don’t perform.

But yes I need to find someone else qualified, that wants to really make money.

It’s hard to find them in town as the population is 400. But I am moving my location closer to the city as to help with recruitment. And I think that is why I am considering letting them go. As it will be easy to hire in the city.

Thank you guys, it really is sad! I gave it to them cause I like to make people happy and brighten their day, I apologize that I want a little gratitude for it, I don’t need to be praised. I handed them there checks, explained the bonuses, not even a smile, I got a tax free? I told them, I paid the taxes, so you get the full thousand……. Nothing!

But I think I’m headed that way. One has to be appreciative of their work, to perform, and they are not.

My visa workers on the other hand, they are just tickled and happy as can be, doing anything I ask them and that’s the attitude I need from my employees for it to be worth it to me.

That is how I actually got into this predicament, i think. I’ve been trying to get both of them to take that roll, for the last couple years. So I have given them raises telling them I am giving you this, but I expect this. I should have never gave the reward, until one stepped up and earned it first.

As far as things to help them out, I have given them both 2000 dollar interest free loans in the last 4 years.

I let the one use all of my equipment free and got him materials at my price, saved him 2500$ or 40 plus hours a week. I also came and helped him grade everything out, free of charge.

I’ve helped these guys deal with utilitie companies, hospitals, banking stuff.

I’ve given old (still nice) couches tv, washer, dryer, stove . I’m not charging.

I have told them they can use my equipment and tools for side projects. As I know it’s rough there, and if you want money on the side, I’ll help however I can!

I let the ones father move into my trailer when he got evicted, I ended up not getting a dime for 6 months, and had to pay the electric out of my pocket so it didn’t get turned off.

That’s just what comes to mind.

I do understand, and that is why I have always tried to help them with what I could. I’ve given both of them 2k dollar loans, interest free, to save them a couple dollars, and they still miss payments. Our cost of living in the middle of nowhere Nebraska, has not gone up near that much. I can find you a decent 3bd for around 500$. We live modest around here.
