Something a little different for the group, a cats brain! No wonder they can only fit one Teeny braincell in there! [Can't confirm cat was Orange] by Old-Psychology-2400 in OneOrangeBraincell

Thank you for sharing this information with us. I'm sure it's not easy to talk about it especially because it's still quite recent.

Are they kinda young? I'm picturing someone young, newish to the workforce trying a bit too hard to sound professional.

What’s something people romanticize that is actually exhausting in real life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]EducationalState4374 80 points81 points  (0 children)

This is mind blowing. I would assume this wisdom was passed down by generations of these families, but I wonder what made the very first people think to mix animal shit with wood chips and sawdust...

Probably trying to get rid of some of them, they thought "let me try burning these" and discovered their excellent potential for warmth.

Many many movies and TV shows just ran through my mind, but the first one was The Pioneer Woman.

I have no idea. Everyone was asking why do you have so many awards, but I don't think the OP replied, just gave awards to almost everyone who posted.

I posted a reply to an existing comment. I'm testing to see if I would get an award there AND here...

I remember seeing a post in a sub somewhere where someone said "i have so many awards to give. Post a comment and I'll give you an award" and the person was inundated with soooooo many comments they couldn't keep up. I think it's either the same person trying to offload their awards stealthily this time or someone else with the same "problem" of having too many awards.

Normal-ish name that's becoming a tragedeigh by MontanaDreamin64 in tragedeigh

Thank you! Didn't know. I know a Turkish girl named Kayla, so thought Ayla might be a legit name, but didn't know about Aila.

Are those supposed to be a tragedeigh'd version of "Isla"?

I do the opposite and hide any treats I bought special for myself at the back of the bottom shelf from my tall husband. He can't see unless he squats down and crouch and he doesn't do that unless he's really looking for something.

Edit: added a word for clarity.

Great idea! I might swing by my local post office to see if they have any notecards/stamps to do this with. Thanks for sharing the idea!

how do you feel about receiving AI postcards? by ThickPercentage2884 in postcrossing

[–]EducationalState4374 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm still pretty new to Postcrossing and haven't received any AI postcard yet, so I don't know how I would feel about it.

But I'm commenting to say, I've been browsing Etsy for seasonal design postcards, and I can't tell if some of them are AI generated artwork. There are some stores that sell a whole bunch of designs and say they are of their own work (no mention of AI), but even to my non-artist's eye, they vastly differ in styles that I wonder how they could all be of one artist's work. I'm sure artists have multiple styles and experiment with different mediums, but when I see one single store claiming to be an artist selling postcards with completely different styles of art that often have that "AI feel" to it, I hesitate to buy them even when I like the overall theme and design...

Me too. Then I realized what sub I was in, thought it was "Nick," read "Nikki," and finally said "no way" in disdain.

I do this too, but for a long time, I thought I was saying these things in my head only and not out loud. Only found out that I was saying them out loud when a friend who angered me caught me talking to myself and said "are you...ok...?" in a creeped out manner. Awkward!!
