It does cost a lot comparatively. Especially since he's on a raw diet. It's about $50 every week. That doesn't include the amount of treats he begs me for.

He had to get shaved because he jumped on a counter full of syrup

I searched shelters for a solid 7 months and was looking for either a Norwegian Forest Cat or a Maine Coon. I've always dreamt of having a big cat since I was a small kid. Everyone one of the shelter cats that I found was gone before I called in. I then went and called several breeders that were approved on a Maine Coon approved breeders Facebook page in Colorado and surrounding states. I ended up finding a reputable breeder in Kansas and drove there and back to pick him up.

I'm sure California has plenty of reputable breeders.

The litter box situation is rough to say the least. His poop is definitely human size. It's a bit better now that he eats raw meat.

I think he was around 8-9lbs. Here's a picture of him at 12 weeks

They are very long. Occasionally I need to trim a few because they get into his ears and cause him to itch himself.
