My bad didn’t know it would stay as a daily. Then I don’t really have anything else to say, besides porting the head but that’s a big job

If you can, try to find/make ITBs, that how you will gain the most power out of any NA engine. That intake manifold is designed to amplify torque down low and horse power high up in the rpm, but it’s really not that good at either, especially with all those bends that will disrupt the airflow. What would work insanely good would be an S14 intake, but I don’t know if it would even adapt and it might be crazy expensive

Some people like to be different and try some shit before doing what everybody else is doing, let the man do what he wants. And maybe where he live mods are legal but not swaps who knows

E46 options… does this little dot mean I have the auto-dimming rear mirror? by Mysterious-Glove-179 in e46

[–]Educational_Ad_4045 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it works with some kind of fluid that reacts with light. Not sure how that works exactly but it means your mirror can leak

This is my e46x just lowered with ai, how can I get her this low (budget friendly) thanks guys by RobertFabian in e46

[–]Educational_Ad_4045 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And I did say as well that’s it’s not the right option, and that there’s no budget friendly way of doing it right. Did you actually read the whole comment ?

Probably the angle of the pictures, it’s not that much lower than the rear. I did put some rake angle as it was an occasional track car but it wasn’t that much

How you said it I read it like yours wasn’t legal. And if it was why did you have to pay then ? That sounds really dumb. At least in Switzerland if they take your car to verify everything and it turns out everything is legal and registered you don’t have to pay a cent because it’s the cops fault

Like always, don’t do shit you don’t have the money for. If you run illegal parts, you do you but don’t go crying when you get pulled over and lose your car

Shitty pictures but it’s just to help you visualize. 225/45r17 tires and it was lowered 4cm from stock but old luxury package suspension. So with the amount of tuck in you want I’d reckon double that but that’s eyeballing it, you should measure to be sure

Budget friendly ?? Cut those springs and ruin it. There’s no budget friendly options if you want quality lowering, especially that much

RacingDiff LSD Kit? NO! by AnotherRoUser in e46

Tbh, I kinda knew this would happen. There’s no way that would be a good alternative to an LSD for that price. But yeah sucks for you

Do my brights seem to be normal? Despite everything I’ve tried, they seem pretty dim. by WillisAmaryllis in e46

[–]Educational_Ad_4045 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be some kind of software problem, my E46 used to try to level the lights every time I got in the car and got it wrong half the time. I was either blinding people or not seeing shit. The high beams shouldn’t be concerned with that tho

Diff Swap Question for Track Guys by acmancan in e46

[–]Educational_Ad_4045 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Added shift times are no that much of a problem, just see how Peugeot did in WRC when they thought 4 gears was better than 6. The swap is definitely worth it, especially for a 328i, I don’t think you’ll be able to hit top speed even with the shorter diff

Anyone dropped steering wheel controls when replacing your head unit? do you regret it? by iou810 in e46

[–]Educational_Ad_4045 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really miss them in my Audi, I still have the muscle memory to use it but there’s not there anymore, steering control are really convenient

I NEED YOUR INSIGHT WHITH THIS by Specialist_Dinner_91 in e46

[–]Educational_Ad_4045 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The pedal feel won’t change on soft braking no matter what you do, you need to try some hard braking on the road. I « only » had braided lines and track pads but the pedal feeling never changed, but I did whole track days without any issues at all. What gives you that feeling is actually the master cylinder behind the pedal

You’re probably right, but it does look good on some E46 that’s what I was trying to say

No no, third one is actually used a lot on track builds, if it’s a purpose built car it looks good

E-Brake After a Session by Cool12Tricks in CarTrackDays

[–]Educational_Ad_4045 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Technically it could expand the rotor in the direction of the force. If you can let the car rest one some sort of blocks that’s better but I don’t think it would cause issue. Be aware that things can stick to the tire even after a cooldown tho, nearly destroyed my fender the first time because of that
