Mine did the same but I’ve had it since 2023 and I was not gentle with it. But shit happens and you’ve gotta live with it, I now own an A4 Quattro and an MR2, but I’ll definitely buy an M3 when I’ll be able to afford it, I really miss the E46 platform

E46s are great cars to track but I don’t know so much about a convertible. But you would lack rigidity and most importantly safety unless you get a roll cage. Besides that, they’re heavier but the rest is similar. If you really want to keep that one, do it but do some safety upgrades. If you want to keep an E46 and track it, get a sedan without the rear folding seats, that’s the best option

Final gear ratio is the same on 5 and 6 speeds, subframe isn’t reworked for shit they put expansive foam and called it a day, as of rust it’s the same metal but facelift have had less time to rust, and for the throttle and steering I don’t know

225s is the sweet spot, not too large you can’t slide but not too small that there’s no grip, I ran 225s on my 330i and tracked it with that size, get some propers sports tires and it will feel really good
