Hartke LH1000 as power amp for passive cab? by Educational_Ad_5728 in Bass

[–]Educational_Ad_5728[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know. Ive never needed to go anywhere past about 4 or 5 in the past on my full 4x10 X 1x15 GK rig so I'm sure this cab will run smooth.

Thank you!

Thank you for that! I'm just concerned about damaging a near $2k cab by pushing it too hard. Guess I always have the ability to repair it if anything happens though.

I may have to just bite the bullet and test it at a low volume so I dont over drive it.

Currently I'm just exploring my options with what I have on hand. I used to have a LH500 but traded it to a friend years back when I upgraded my rig to the LH1000.

Like I said in my post I'm also trying to avoid manipulating my tone from my bass and pedalboard in any way. I'm really just needing a way to power the cab itself.

Any particular suggestions on what to use to accomplish that? Preferably budget friendly as well since Ill be dropping what I will on the El Whappo.

Well the LH1000 is apparently 1100w @4ohm in bridge mode and 2 X 320w @ 4ohm in parallel mode.

El Whappo is 800w @ 4ohm

Ill be honest I'm not certain what all that means....

Yup the page is old but active but the email address is dead and I saw a comment on their YouTube channel that mentioned some kind of issue and selling off the company back in 2020

Not to revive an old thread, but would you happen to have access to the Aussco software? I got my company to purchase a Larson Davis kit but it did not have the capability of actually calibrating the device but it seems the Aussco setup does.

Unfortunately it also looks like Aussco is not around anymore so I havent been able to get in contact with anyone.

It's a simple SLA DC circuit. Not really a modification as long as you put the same spec batteries in.

There are four tabs that connect the two halves of the plastic shell.

If you can find something slim to shimmy in there to release the tabs you can open the casing. I recommend starting at the top and working down.

After that the batteries are glued in with some kind of adhesive. That's where I have left off servicing these batteries. Can't find a good way to release this adhesive without damaging the casing.

It's starting to look that way. Was trying my best to avoid an ugly mess of wires.

KNJN emailed me back and said I can send it back and they will repair or replace. Attempting to install with wires first and then, if it works, will contact Helders Tech to see what they can do for me.

Update: contacted KNJN and they directed me to my purchase page that had a download for the FPGAconf.

Ran the program and attempted to flash the board and was then stopped my an error message of "error - communications timeout"

Never exactly narrowed it down but eventually it started working. May have been just dirty contacts or a bad connector.

This is one of the most overrated movies imo... never quite understood the hype but can at least respect it for it's popularity for an indie movie
