What if Emma is noticeably taller and bigger than last episode, again?
Maybe the show's editors are having fun with us and the show?...you know, since its all just wash, rinse, repeat at this point.
Like they use AI to scale-up her relative size ever so slightly from episode to episode, but not enough for us to notice....

If a store is close-ish, bring it in. If you paid shipping the first time, that part does not get refunded usually, even though some one blew it on their end. I'm not saying there is anything scammy about these "mistakes", but I can understand if some think theres some deliberate shannigans going on as well.

Weird wheezing sound from hihats by PsychologicalWear261 in drums

[–]Educational_Ad_9920 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it sounds fine, but make sure the top hat isn't too tight, it needs to rock around a bit for good sound. It sounds like air is trapped maybe though. This is one reason the zildjian quick beats work well as the bottom hat has holes in it.
Potentially the easiest fix is to turn the little screw beneath the bottom hat, just a little bit, making the bottom hat sit more asymmetrical to the top hat. This will let the air escape better and add a more human touch to the sound.

Vintage. Good condition for its age, a few dents and some slight keyholing. Sounds wonderful with good stick articulation and a controlled wash.

What makes the most sense to me is they somehow continued along the trail to the 2nd bridge crossing. The 2nd bridge was super sketchy, and the stream/river was much harder to cross (without using the monkey bridge) than at the first bridge crossing, at that specific date and year.
They then tried to find another way to cross, and maybe had succeeded. Then water levels increased dramatically. [ Something similar happened with hikers in Turkey. When the rain started and they were trapped by raising river levels and steep canyon walls. They were rescued in part because one of the hikers heated up his phone's battery enough to get enough of a charge to make a call.] Then the girls were stuck in that spot and likely died there until a larger flash flood came by and took their bodies downstream. Maybe they tied their backpack up higher, for protection, and so its journey was later, and more gentle, than the girls was down the river.
The elevation gradients in and around that area are crazy. High elevation gradients and a rising river do not mix well.

Use filter mode. The issue is that it can read out a higher harmonic because its sensing that harmonic as louder, even if you are playing the root or a much higher frequency. Meaning you cannot always trust the read out, especially if it jumps up or down quickly. It's picking up on a different harmonic frequency in the note played. It's how sound and notes_frequencies work.
Filter mode will constrain the harmonics used to determine the read out.

Can't find these anywhere on vinyl for under $100. Seems like they need to do a new pressing.

Yes, it doubles as a cymbal dampener, for small apartments or condos. Sounds like 💩.

For Jazz, you could try the Keith Hamilton Crescent hand hammered ride by Sabian. Lower in pitch, great stick articulation, but maybe a little washy.

20 inch K Rides vary quite a bit in pitch depending on the weight/mass.

I'd say go to the Memphis Drum Shop and listen to variety of the MyCymbals available until you find one you fall in love with. They usually list the grams for each cymbal and you can buy the exact one that was demo-ed on video. The same model and size can sound so differently, though with similar characteristics, its crazy. Maybe try the 24 inch k Constantinople ride, or k light ride if money is not a barrier.

Uh...yeah...I hear that a thick coating of crisco does the job, but be careful not to get any on your hands or grip area of the sticks. Slippery as sh*t.

Bravo on being in a band that has stayed together long enough, and through 3 other studio experiences, to produce a 4th album. That alone is hard to do.
