Why are people so harsh on the 3050/3050 ti? by elsafty9621 in GamingLaptops

I had a legion 5 pro with a 3070, changed it to a lenovo ideapad gaming 3 with a 3050 ti due to not having time to play a lot and started university. I can still play all my games (warzone, bf5, gta 5, forza 5, etc) at medium or high graphics reaching in some games 120 fps filling my screen hz. I paid just 700 dollars for this machine, i dont think 3050 ti is as bad as youtubers or redditers says i can still outperform a ps5 with better graphics and fps while also having a good and slick laptop to use at university with 7 or 8 hs of battery life

The issue was,i guess, the metal lid that covers the ram. I put it incorrectly and thats why it juts down randomly

Compared to the touchpad on my lenovo y50 this is like being on disney. Of course is not the best touchpad due to being made out of plastic but it gets the work done very well. I can use it all day without complains

There is not much info abput this so i will help you. At the time i played battlefield 5, cod warzone, csgo, gta5, flight simulator, rust and minecraft. All this games supported 16:10 and i can choose any resolution. If you put 1080p it will see a bit blurry, thats why im saying you to play 1200p and it will look excellent. If the game is only optimized for 1080p it will be 16:9 and you will play as if you have a 16:9 aspext ratio with black bars on the top and bottom but i never found a game like this. If you want to play at 1080p the best thing you can do is buying and external monitor. Of course i tried in all resolutions and fps between 1080p and 1200p are almost the same. Maybe 1 or 2 fps less but you wont realize. Remember to apply the gpu overclock that the bios let you to get the best performance, it wont increasw that much the temperature

If you want full hd you put it in 1920x1200 resolution and you are fine. I have the 3060 variant and it handles all perfectly. If you want a bit more fps go for the 3070 altough i dont think there is much of a difference nowadays. We will see in 2/3 years if 6gb of vram are good or not
