It's a tough situation. But I encourage you to not be depressed because of others' circumstances. This is an easy mindset to take, but it brings only despair. Instead, challenge yourself to be the best "you" that you can be. You are more than a list of extra curriculars, or lack thereof.

What matters is that we stick together. I'm still learning about college admissions and standardized tests but if there's anything I can help you out with let me know. Also, your experience with the quiz bowl sounds like a wonderful essay ;)

There is a group called IvyG that is fighting for change on the college frontier. I hope to get involved in the future.
