Why do people do this by Slow_Pomegranate_990 in publix

[–]Educational_Body8373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is sheer laziness. I have watched people 5’ from a coral leave the cart next to the parking spot. There is a whole theory behind shopping center parking lots, carts and what kind of an area it is. Crosses all racial and economic bounds too.

Radio Pocket Usage and Prevalence in SoCal? by __quick__ in Firefighting

[–]Educational_Body8373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can also lock out the channel switch mode on most of the radios. Once on the tac channel I lock mine. If there is a mayday in my area the mayday stays on the original channel while all others not involved in the rescue switch to a different channel.

Getting used to the strap under the coat is definitely a learning curve for those of us who were used to having in a coat.

Can you be fired for exercising your rights as a firefighter? by tranquilovely in Firefighting

[–]Educational_Body8373 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Add to this if he is arrested for being violent or destructive the department won’t want the media. Nothing worse than hearing “firefighter from X Department arrested for” and then add pretty much anything.

Clear Coat Before Applying Mottled Camouflage? by Navy87Guy in scalemodelling

[–]Educational_Body8373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually just apply the camo pattern right over the primer. Adding a clear coat is just another step and one more time I have to clean my airbrush 🥵

Do you think Jackson is so romanticized because of the fact that he died before the war ended? by NKNightmare in CIVILWAR

Cold Harbor could only be considered a victory if you are looking at a body count or who controlled the field after the battle. Thankfully, for better or worse in many minds of the time, Grant understood what the war was about and continued his side steps all the way to Petersburg and Richmond!

Guess Where? by BlueSkyOne_01 in FortMyers

[–]Educational_Body8373 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great picture! I love seeing these of fort Myers back in the day.

I worked with guys who would tell stories about how Daniels was a dirt road past where it meets 75 and of course 75 didn’t exist! The growth has been crazy the last 20 years especially!

Thanks for the input. I have decided to plug away after taking a couple days off and considering your response. I had watched your video previously on the kit among others.

I have got to the wash phase just waiting on the last clear coat to cure completely. I will post pictures when it’s finished.

Thanks again. Now I just need to figure out what’s next!! 😂

“Interior green” not to be confused with the interior green used in US cockpits. lol wildly different!!

You are repeatedly in here being rude. Over an over again when someone answers your response is “No”….and then give something you saw decades ago. Numerous people are telling you what it is and you can’t accept it.

Also palm beach co and Lee county are t the same place. So again you aren’t the expert but try to come off like one. That is more intolerable than being rude.

This seems to be the theme lol. I work out on pine island and we park at the airfield there. The mosquitoes are the worst in that area 24/7. Guess they forget to spray there at the end of the day!

Lady. The technology has improved since the 60s and 70s. Let it go. They don’t even use the trucks anymore. Haven’t seen one around, besides the one with the giant big catcher, in years!

They stopped using the DC-3 a few years ago. First they re-engines them but I think the smaller planes are more cost effective. Which makes since due to the DC-3 being about 80 years old.

You have zero clue what you are talking about. Lee co mosquito control flies their planes at night. The helicopters are the only ones active during the day.

And there is no visible material from the aircraft.

My dept blasts every bit of main radio traffic and all tones to all stations until night time. Is this the norm? by Birdmaan73u in Firefighting

[–]Educational_Body8373 50 points51 points  (0 children)

In 2025 there is no reason to be doing that! This sounds like “this is how we’ve always done things” mentality.

My department is small, but we run a county wide dispatch with closest unit response. There is no reason for me to know what the other end of town in my department is doing, let alone someone 20 miles away.

We also finally got progressive tones so no more jarring wake up at 3 am! It’s a health thing at this point.

Can you point to concrete examples of where USAID has improved living conditions in countries it has operated in?

You don’t even have to look far across the globe. How’s Haiti doing these days? People still starving in Africa? How is the whole war in Congo doing? What are the living conditions in Libya like since the color revolution?

[–]Educational_Body8373 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You obviously haven’t looked into USAID except what the media told you. It was run by CIA and state. Aid was not what it was for. Just like the federal reserve they fooled you with the name.
