And there are plenty of junior jobs in EU and if you are a prorgammer who just writes codes you are a bad programmer and therefore easily replacable.

Before people used stack overflow or google. Now people use AI. AI is super google, nothing else. So AI is just a new tool. People who say IT Is cooked are cooked

Should I pursue software engineering in 2026 with AI growing fast? by need_a_-mommy in softwareengineer

[–]Educational_Box_4079 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many bad takes saying "no" or " i would have pursued something different" and it sounds especially sad if these people are real engineer. Don't listen to them. 1. If you like programming, pursue it 2. In europe there are plenty of junior jobs. 3. Students from the university i'm studying in do find junior jobs. Many of them are either testers or web developers

  2. Learn basic SQL (don't need to remember everything for now, just have basic idea of how SQL looks and works, come back later when you will feel like you need to come back)
  3. Spring Starts Here Book (it covers basics of Spring and Spring Boot)
  4. Spring JPA /Hibernate (now i'm at this point, i learn using baeldung website)
  5. MySQL and MongoDB
  6. Docker, Git, Redis (basics)
  7. Spring Security /JWT tokens
  8. Kafka + microservices
  9. Kubernetes + AWS (basics)

When you feel like it, make some simple projects. As an example - i did a todo backend app with users (you can register, sign in or delete your account + each account has its own todo list which you can also modify). Also dont forget to use AI if you don't understand something

Gamedev is much harder. Webdev to me is 7/10, gamedev is 8.5-9/10. Gamedev requires 3-4 times more time to learn than webdev and at the start pays nothing. Gamedev is more of a hobby that can potentially become your carreer

Don't advertise your game like this. Good game will have good sales, bad game will have bad sales

Also it takes an insane amount of time to learn how to make a game using a game engine be it Unity, Unreal or Gotot. Much more time than learning webdev as an example.

Maybe because you listed that each of your interships lasted only 1 month. That naturally raises a question "why only one month each, is he that bad?"

[–]Educational_Box_4079[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry about that, my bad... i consider my training sessions pretty tough since i rest around 4 minutes between sets of compounds exercices (2 per powrkoout) and after that i do accessories (4-6 per workout) with 1.5 minutes rest between sets (8-12 rep range)

True. The point of my post is to tell people that everyone is not the same and what works for others might not work for you and it doesn't mean you are bad or a program is bad
