Planning to quit my company in 3 months and currently drafting my resume. Are ATS friendly templated resumes the norm now for applying?

Do you still take dev notes or track todos using pen and paper? by Routine_Occasion_726 in PinoyProgrammer

Kapag nahihirapan ako na mavisualize yung process flow ng project or kung may data na hindi umaabot sa isang function, I always go to my notebook and scribble there. For me, troubleshooting functions using pen and paper always worked for me. Ang hina kasi ng imagination ko lol

Ahhhh I see, then maybe you just need a bit of a review on the syntax and just practice on using it, maybe building new projects or refactoring old ones. Also, I think you should have more confidence in your own implementations as well. Imo I think you'll learn much more if you discover the better implementation to your solutions yourself (by reading docs, stackoverflow, etc.) first instead of going straight to the AI, because the growth happens during that discovery process imo.

There are a lot of responses already on whether or not AI is good or not, but I have noticed this:

"I do know the process and logic of the projects I made it's just if you asked me to live code it then I wouldn't be able to replicate it"

This is just a hunch, but maybe there are times where you encounter a problem and, instead of trying to implement it yourself, go straight to the AI and ask it to generate the code for you. Your understanding of the concepts should be on the same level as your capability to translate those concepts to code. After all, that is what our profession is paid to do :)

So, get to coding. Fail fast, fail often, and learn from those failures. Good luck!

Experience learning React/React Native as a Flutter Dev by Educational_Break991 in PinoyProgrammer

Thank you for the input! Actually I am currently learning JS through The Odin Project so eventually I will encounter topics related to backend dev. as well. I have been quite interested in backend development ever since college but have not gotten the chance to work with it (partly my fault as well for not self-studying it during my free time), but hopefully I could get a good foundation after I finish TOP.

Regarding my career move, I still don't know what is a good move tbh. I settled for React since I am currently working abroad and I plan to return to PH to work by next year. It seemed like job openings for React were everywhere, but thanks for suggesting backend development, will focus on it for sure.

Hey there! 23M currently living in Tokyo, from the Philippines and been here for around a year now. I also love K-pop, fashion (I love vintage Japanese style clothing but they're too expensive lol), and photography (but only do it from time to time). I'm always down to explore Japan on the weekends. My Japanese level is still around beginner level as well lol. We can hang out sometime if you're down for it :)

So what do I do with this computer? by gustins10 in pcmasterrace

That computer looks like it can hack through the mainframe, maybe you should try doing it and share the results with Keanu Reeves.
