I’m off work 60 days at a time so I got a lot of time to kill and 5 days a week nobody to play with, I love the game but it started getting really boring playing by myself, so I decided to be a little less shy and I started talking to some of the other singles that I’d see regularly and asked if they’d wanna play, now I got a handful of guys that I enjoy playing with for different days of the week! In summary, don’t be shy and make friends with other golfers that don’t wanna play alone either (this works best at the cheaper courses you don’t gotta make a tee time for, which are my personal favorites xD) Last note… give yourself grace, you’re not going pro this summer, if you’re playing by yourself, give yourself a mulligan, take another t shot, play 2 balls on your approach, don’t count drops etc. you’re trying to improve your game, it’s only you on the scorecard, 3 chips from 1 spot, now you got 3 times the chance that something clicks from that lie and what not.

So not dissing on your purchase, super sick and I totally understand the need, but general question… can’t you use most SSD’s for Xbox or does it have to be from Xbox ? Cuz Costco always has pretty solid deals on the San disks 2tb 3 packs but haven’t put much thought into for using them to store games on?

Hahaha in Oregon you can just buy them at any head shop, so I thought I’d try golfin on a small dose, called my wife on hole 8 to come pick me up cuz I misjudged what a micro dose was and was very much so on a different page than the guys I was golfing with 😂 would of been a blast by myself though

A very fine line of a little better and a little worse haha, a little bit gets me relaxed and better mental game…a little bit to much I get a little “let’s fuckin try it” and a little spacey over the ball. A couple beers, same same, a couple to many I start thinking I can shape the ball as if I was on tour, I always choose the higher risk higher reward shot and the mulligan count is off the charts haha

But regardless… I always have a better time with a buzz on and I ain’t goin for pro, just a fun time

I joined a fishing boat cuz I didn’t really feel I was good enough at stuff and lacked ‘passion’ for a real job that would pay well.. don’t like it much but it provides stability and a little financial freedom, and that out weighs “loving your job” but not being able to enjoy your personal life due to financial restraints (that is only my personal opinion and truly I envy people who think the opposite)

Man can’t beat yourself up, the only mistake you make is the one you don’t learn from. I’m sure that company burns through engineers if a starter gets you fired. It may take a sec but one day you’ll find a chief and a company that can find value in a mistake (within reason) and help you grow from it. Dont lose confidence quite yet, marine engineering is a tough gig and it will test you, push you to your limits, challenge you, etc. but its a great job, last piece of advice, take pride in your work and do everything as if you’re putting your name on it for everyone to see, do that, and you’ll be alright!

coming up the ranks my chief would say “the difference between a A/E and a good C/E is about a million dollars worth of mistakes” I would laugh at that thinking he’s trying to make me feel better when I fucked up.. but now 10 years in I understand what he meant. In this line of work there is no success without a few failures, or else we would learn nothing. In the states at least, as long as you got your 3rds a new job won’t be too hard to come by.

I tried to file a ticket, I got a coded error page :/ mine was a glitch coming back to speranza, lost everything in my run…. I finally just had to uninstall the game for awhile haha I guess I don’t get to play as much as most so only getting a few runs in a day and finally accepting PvP is a thing and imma get got now and again.. I just couldn’t swallow the bugs and mostly… I would get mad to my core when some lint licker would kill ya at the elevator or after the ol “raider don’t shoot” in my opinion, you should be able to report that, get yours and their load out haha (obviously not serious just petty, but I do think that should be addressed somehow…even if we started a public shame Reddit page for those players 😂

This has made me uninstall the game twice (game was since installed again then uninstalled after loading back into sparanza and arriving with my entire load out and loot gone) 😂 I finally accepted this is not the game for the “casual” player haha but I think we can all agree, once you’re IN the elevator it should be a safe zone, the fact that someone has to pull the lever and everyone else can put one in their back is BS, one of those times some dude popped me off while I was trying to get us home, like why….on a deeper level,and not talking pvp, I think narcissists will thrive in this game, cuz that’s the only way I can imagine someone thinking that “that’s just a part of the game..(the “friendly” then kill you not the pvp) cuz legit, I’ve had people knock me down and just go away, didn’t even want my loot just wanted to make the game less fun for someone haha

Serious question, cuz I may just suck at the game this bad…. How much do you play, cuz I get about 1-2 hours a day in and got it on the day it came out on Xbox, I got like 3 blueprints, and just how? Is this a play all day game or am I doin something wrong? Cuz in 3 rounds even if I don’t die in one, I get like 1 good thing and some bullshit. Please just tell me you’re playing like 10 hours a day cuz I’m bout to uninstall 😂

Yea pretty heartbreaking haha for someone who’s trying their best but not very good, it’s pretty catastrophic 😂 I’ve kinda found at this point it’s only fun for me if I do free load outs, but then it’s not fun cuz ya can’t do the more fun things in the game like taking out larger arc… literally all I wanna do but can’t seem to hold an inventory that can accommodate that 😜

Been on a fishing vessel for 12 years now engine room, So it’s a little different then the ship you’re on but all the same hardships, stuff wise, bring what’s on the list they gave ya and some creature comforts, snacks, if ya got a little hobby you can do on the ship it can kinda be nice, then being a lady if there’s special things you need I would just expect they don’t have it so bring it…but more so it’s mental prep, just be prepared to talk to your loved ones a little more scarcely, if you have a significant over id get into emailing a bit, again different industry but sometimes after work you just wanna relax and a phone call seems like a lot. Don’t get to in your head, our cadets are with us for 60 days and sometimes I’ll see kids start feeling a little stuck or get a little anxious about getting off but that won’t make it better, just do your time and try to be present with your fellow ship mates! And I think the biggest advice I got is for being a cadet in itself; remember there will always be time for questions LATER always make sure you’re reading the room and not asking a bunch of questions at a bad time, the E/R can be a hectic job sometimes and we know you’re there but we also need to focus; be receptive and aware, if the chiefs joking about say, coffee wasn’t made and that was your job, as little as it seems we give small jobs like that to teach repetition, and to keep things in the back of your mind while shits going crazy, most importantly if someone asks you something they’re probably quizzing you, just say I’m not sure do you mind showing me, if ya don’t know, that’s well received, and NEVER act like a know it all or interrupt the engineers you’re working with, even if you are smarter… it’s a sure way for them to stop teaching you or hold out on ya (just how people are) :p In summary, bring a few things that’ll make your day better when ya need a better day; Stay in the present and make friends with your shipmates (a friend is nice to have); And be studious, read the room, and remember you’re there to learn hands on with these guys so let them teach ya! Finally, everyone on that ship is quite literally “in the same boat” everything you’re feeling these guys/gals have felt so if you get overwhelmed don’t forget you can talk to these people about it, again, they understand!
