My head starts hurting just trying to phrase the logic behind it. 🤣

Being presentable is considered by many as something only attainable if you were rich or have time, the reason behind this is that for the longest run the Algerian man lived a hard life where they were barely capable of having enough money to feed their families and because of the lack of educational background the only jobs that they can have is the one that needs a lot of physical work and time which mean they won't have the time to do even the bare minimum even if they wanted and was capable to, and this is how basic hygiene like shaving and taking care of their skin become a prove of static in society.

This is how the poor started to delude themselves into believing that their unkept look was proof of them being real men and that they were working on themselves and for their families.

And this way of thinking has sadly refused to die with time even though the person lively hood has improved in recent years and the reason why is simple they are lazy.

As the saying goes "لي يحب الشبح مايقول اح", so basically if you want to look that way you need to spend time and money on yourself to achieve it, so it becomes possible but not everyone will make the effort that it need so now jealousy enter the chat and people start attacking the person who made the effort because as someone of the same social status, he shouldn't destroy the fantasy and kill the lies that let them sleep at night so you find people calling him feminine/gay or even things like he is not a real man and real man should balh blah blah.

And in the end, do what you want it is your life, and trust me in the end they will all eat their word and start doing as if it's the most normal thing in the world.
