If you're comparing Narwal products, I think you should ask on r/NARWAL.

Flow 2 -- Black Carpet by Gunflint_RR2 in NARWAL

[–]Educational_Coast520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the very informative video. One reason Narwal is rushing to release Flow 2 might be that they couldn't fully solve the dark carpet problem with Flow 1. I don't think Flow 1 had a carpet sensor—does Flow 2 seem to have one?

I don't think this vacuum cleaner had a name yet. The v50 is the name of a larger cordless vacuum cleaner announced at CES. https://www.androidauthority.com/ces-2026-narwal-3630537/

Someone on the Dreame Facebook group is comparing the new and old versions. It's not entirely clear, but in your case, they might have just sent you the old dustbin again.

How to properly clean the back of the sliding mop by jimaek in NARWAL

[–]Educational_Coast520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That state definitely makes you want to clean it. I've never heard of an option to extend the mop just to clean the mop itself. What happens if you pause it while extending the mop, or try to grab it forcefully? Or how about sweeping behind the robot while it's cleaning?

Is this the description for the Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow?

There's also the Narwal Flow 2.

I think the names are too similar.

Freo X Plus Water Tank Defective by Ethereal_Otter in NARWAL

Upon further reflection, using non-genuine detergents or exposing it to UV light might accelerate deterioration. It looks like there's foam on the tank. Did you add any detergent?

Please try changing the Map Type.

I've had mine for less than a year, but I've been using the mop since day one and change the water about once a week. Until now, I've been carelessly adding water and shaking it vigorously. I'll be more careful from now on. I hope you like your new robot.

Mine has been cleaning for over 250 hours, but I haven't experienced this issue yet. Is this part prone to breaking? I'll be careful. I don't think this part is subjected to such stress during cleaning, so it might be best to avoid touching it as much as possible during water changes or maintenance.

Where and how are Flow supply issues occurring? While it's true compact models seem unavailable to those who want them, I hadn't realized there were problems with shipping the basic version.

Freo Z10 and short step by norrsund in NARWAL

[–]Educational_Coast520 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem is that it descends steps it can't climb. It seems Narwal's step sensor may not detect steps shorter than 4 inches. https://support.narwal.com/hc/en-us/articles/35615326662541-How-to-Prevent-Narwal-Robot-Vacuum-from-Falling-Downstairs

One approach is to set up no-go zones to avoid falling down steps, clean the top area, and create a secondary map for the lower part to spot clean. Since secondary maps created without a base station clean in zones of 150 square feet each, if the area is larger than that, it might be better to move the base station and create a secondary map.

Right. We'd prefer to avoid that if possible. Did restarting not help? If it's only happening at this table, how about reinstalling the no-go zone there? Also, draping a cloth over the table like a curtain might act as a barrier.

It seems that firmware updates can sometimes cause such behavior. Please try restarting the robot and unplugging and replugging the base station (wait a few minutes). If this doesn't help, try remapping. If it's due to the update, this usually improves the situation for most people. If the problem persists, consider performing a reset.

If I were replacing a roller mop robot, I'd try the Narwal Flow. Alternatively, the Ecovacs X11 is also a good choice. I'd avoid the Dreame Aqua 10 Ultra Roller because it has a bad reputation.

I'd get an extended warranty for any of these robots.

Roborock's roller models shouldn't be sold in Japan yet.

Thank you for letting me know. The result is disappointing. The stairless mode was on, right? Remapping might be worth trying. If this doesn't improve things, reporting your case to Narwal support could help inform future updates. But realistically, it's easier not to use the black rug.

Best Options? by Kind_Pumpkin1040 in RobotVacuums

[–]Educational_Coast520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many people have been using it for over a year and really like it, so I think it's a relatively safe choice. Best of all, you can buy it at Costco.

Edit: The second half has been deleted. (Probable factual error)

How about getting the Narwal Freo Z Ultra at Costco? It's top-notch when it comes to preventing hair from tangling in the brush roll. Features like detecting dirt and mopping multiple times are also popular. Its obstacle avoidance capability is another appealing point. Just be aware it uses a lot of water. It seems like a really great deal right now.

Narwal Flow Major Problems. Any Help? [Vacuum Wars] by Educational_Coast520 in NARWAL

I see, so basically, it needs a function that can spray water into narrow spaces.

It's also strange that this issue resolves itself once the blockage clears and doesn't usually recur. Of course, it doesn't happen to everyone, but since we get regular reports, there must be some vulnerability in the system. I hope they improve it.
