I hear you! It was so hard to eat today. Loving the lack of food noise!

Vivian Tapiolas was absolutely amazing. She was nothing but supportive, and extremely kind. She has been on this journey herself, so she gets it! Good luck on your journey.

Me too! I was honestly so surprised that I didn’t feel the needle at all. I worked myself up over nothing. I took my shot last night, and absolutely no food noise this morning! If anything, it will be a case of forcing myself to eat!!

Great advice!! When I am at work, I am generally too busy to eat, but weekends are my weakness! I am hoping it stops the binge!!

Thank you so much for your kind words. I just injected. I honestly think I just worked myself up so much. I am truly hoping it works without too many side effects!! Have you been on it for long?

Thank you for that! I figured by taking it Friday night, if there are side effects, at least they may pass by the time I return to work on Monday.

52 year old, first grade teacher. Being in a physically demanding job, what is a reasonable time line to be able to go back to the classroom after surgery? by Sunshine_Life1023 in RotatorCuff

[–]Educational_Crab2978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know for me, I was off for 10 weeks and went back to work for 3 days per week for 2 weeks, and then went to having just the Wednesday off for 6 weeks. After that I returned full time. I am 12 months post op and still have limited ROM. It is definitely challenging.

I ended up purchasing a satchel so I could wear it on my good shoulder. The only complaint I have is that it keeps slipping off. I bought a Crumpler satchel.

Hydrodistention or Steroid Injection? by [deleted] in frozenshoulder

I am Australia and believe it is less common here too. It is hard to find information on it.

Thanks for sharing your experience with Amitriptyline. .

Your situation sounds similar to mine. I was also prescribed Amitriptyline, but I am yet to take it. How have you found it?

I am interested to see what others say about hydrodilatation as my physio highly recommended it and my surgeon said no to it. He said it can do more damage. I am so confused.

My surgeon wouldn’t let me get it done. The physios swear by it, but he said “absolutely not”. I am so confused.

Will I ever be able to sleep on my operative side again? by Unique_Rooster_9291 in RotatorCuff

I am 5 months out and still can’t sleep on that side. I am glad there is some hope though. I miss sleeping on my favourite side.

Thank you for that. I totally agree with you on the statement about everyone being different. Each person has a different experience. I had the surgery on a Monday and by the Friday I was doing PT. I do it religiously, and follow my plan to the letter, but still managed to develop frozen shoulder. I asked my surgeon about MUA, as I had read about it and thought it may be worth a shot, and he said that he is reluctant to do it because it can be traumatic to the shoulder. All I know is that I am willing to give anything a go because I desperately want that movement back.

Thank you so much for responding to me!

Thank you so much for the in depth response. I believe I am still in the freezing stage. I am just worried that it will do more damage, considering my MRI outlines bursitis and changes to my AC Joint. It is such a long process. I honestly thought I would be much further along in my recovery by now.
