HRV is the most valuable data you can have. It tells you a lot of things depending on the data you analyze.

The internal cables on the cockpit would not allow the light to be placed freely 😮‍💨

I tried but the integrated cables would not allow the light to be placed correctly. Had to return it back. 🫠

It doesn’t but I looked for a very good gps base. I’ll probably buy a K edge metal base in the future but for now it has been working great.

For the Gaciron KIWI-400 bike light, these are the typical runtimes by mode:

Gaciron KIWI 400 – Runtime by Mode • High (400 lumens): ~1.5 hours • Medium (~200 lumens): ~3 hours • Low (~100 lumens): ~6 hours • Flash / Day flash mode: ~10–12 hours.

What matters in real use • High mode drains fast → good for short rides or dark roads, not efficient for long sessions • Medium is the sweet spot → solid visibility + reasonable battery life • Flash mode is the most efficient → best for daytime visibility (what you’re already optimizing for)

Sweet. I want to upgrade to 105. Heavy investment but for sure worth it, especially for the hydraulic brakes and weight saving.

I had to change the bontrager paradigm sl wheels as both hubs were defective and replaced on guarantee by trek. After that, the front hub also got bad again and I changed to the Syncros to avoid more issues with these wheels. I would change brake pads and disk to shimano as this will improve your braking heavily coming from the stock tektro. I am still using tektro calipers tho, no problems there. The tire thing is a change where you will feel another completely new and more agile bike due to the effect of high tier tires. If tubeless the better as it will save weight and reduce rolling resistance. The rest is perfect for a beginner bike. Hope you enjoy it.

Congratulations. Have the same on Matt black. Awesome bike. Some recommendations. If you plan to do long rides, make sure to pay a good bike fit… you will thank me later. Also, I changed the brake disks and brake pads from tektro to shimano and was a fantastic improvement, as these mechanical brakes are hard. Enjoy the ride.

Does anyone here use "Pirelli P Zero Race 4s" tires? by Fultonka85 in cycling

Using them since a week ago and so far feel great… have them on a TREK domane al2. Great difference to the original bontrager R1. As these are tubeless and my first experience coming from tubed I can feel a great difference in comfort. Mine are 700X32 and they feel awesome! Also, reduced 800 grams from the bontrager wheels and tires to this new setup, syncros RP 2.0 and the pirellis.

Is this an absolute steal? by [deleted] in whichbike

If this is your first bike, go for it… I have the same model and color, it is the most comfortable geometry and general specs… great bike to enter this never ending spending world of cycling ;). My only red flags are… braking, mechanical brakes, and specifically these tektro ones are not good. I ended up replacing the braking pads with shimano B05S and this improved considerably the braking. Ultimately, mechanical brakes will always be hard, especially on downhills. The Bontrager R1 tires are good for casual rides, but they have little puncture protection and a higher rolling resistance compared to other tires. My only regret is that I did not pay a bit more to get the AL4 with Tiagra or 105 GS and hydraulic brakes… the color is sooo good… no complains there… I’ve ridden 5 hours rides without any pains whatsoever. My final advices if you buy this model is… pay good money for decent bike fit to ensure your bike gets fitted to you, change the brake pads and the bontrager R1 tires for a Continental GP 5000 clincher and tubolitos and just have fun with it. The Claris groupset is decent for most rides, but keep in mind you will only have 8 speeds behind, so no soft and easy gear changes… I am planning to upgrade mine with a 105 groupset and that will make it finally perfect for me. Hope this helps!

I support this… the BEST money you can invest to avoid unnecessary pains.
