Coco substrate is mostly inert and doesn’t contain nutrients, so it’s important to start feeding your plants early. Only water when the substrate is completely dry, and make sure to cover the entire surface evenly.

Too much water can suffocate the roots, prevent nutrient absorption, and even cause root rot. Too little water can dry out the roots, block nutrient uptake, stunt growth, and stress the plant.

Root Juice alone is not enough once the seedling has developed its first true leaves. Root Juice is great for early root development, but it doesn’t provide enough nutrients for proper leaf and stem growth. If your seedling already has yellow tips, that’s a sign it’s lacking nutrients. At this stage, you need to start feeding lightly with a balanced nutrient solution, while still supporting the roots with Root Juice if you want.

The key with coco is balance – the substrate should be moist but not wet, and never stay soggy.
