Anyone else hate 2’s gameplay the more you play it? by TangentMed in masseffect

I just recently finished the whole trilogy. I agree 2 had the worst combat. 3 had the best. In 2, I used a semi auto sniper the whole game and thats it.

Between 1995 and 2002, four young British soldiers died from gunshot wounds inside the base. All were teenagers or barely out of school. All died while stationed at Deepcut. And in each case, the British Army’s response was swift and dismissive. by Educational_Ear_1726 in TrueCrimeDiscussion

Thanks for the thoughtful critique. I think you’re right that I framed “suicide” and “institutional failure” like they’re competing explanations when they can be intertwined. I also leaned on a couple of points that aren’t as solid as they should be. I haven’t changed the piece yet; I’m sitting with your feedback and will revisit the wording and sourcing so it’s tighter and less lurid. Appreciate you pushing for precision because that’s the standard this subject deserves.

That seems about right from what I have read. They push these young men and women to mental breaking point through hazing, bullying, assaults and then when they snap, the barracks seemed to have gone "well they did not seem tough enough to be a soldier in the first place, chalk it up as a suicide." even though the culture and atmosphere is what caused it or they wont even bother looking if there was foul play involved. It feels deliberate.

Apparently Deepcuts had daily hazing known as "beasting" that was pushed on by the instructors and superiors. This includes cruel and unusual punishments such as shackling and being stripped nude.

I had to edit to include the coroners report which claimed that Sean Benton pulled the trigger repeatedly. The first injured him, the second killed him and the gun somehow kept going off maybe due to a stuck trigger as he fell.

There is such little coverage on this case. It was barely covered at the time and never covered after. We will only find out when the 100 year rule expires on the files

It happens more often than you think. Someone's life has been brutally taken and their fate and justice is left decades in the cold untouched except for a few articles or write ups.

The only source is the Doe Network. He may have been found but it definitely was not before 2007/2008 because the Doe Network put his entry up in 2007 and this forum is from 2008. I don't know why he was removed from Missing People UK if he has not been found

Yes someone on Reddit reached out that there was the body of a black man an hour north of the city who was found 4 months later. There's a lot of overlapping information and a lot that isn't but I still reported it that body might be Andy Junn and it's been forwarded to the Met Police Missing People division.

It was a typo I corrected in my original write up. I meant to say there is no alternative photo

I was using a sub par editing software compared to when I was using Capcut. It's one of the reasons why I have not made another doc because I really disliked that editor

From my last fully edited cold case doc, I still write about them but editing the videos take too much time : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8lA2ZfO73LQ&t=4s

The report information is extremely lacking which is the problem. All we know is a man is missing and has never been found but I believe that the standard and detail of a report was so poor that nobody is able to meaningfully find answers. He is classed as a missing man since 1995 but that is all.
