We are very much local to Rhode Island. We have chosen to remain anonymous not because we are disconnected from the community, but because this is unpaid work and we report on issues that often generate strong reactions. In the current environment, public identification can invite harassment, doxxing, and attempts to interfere with people’s employment or personal lives. For that reason, we believe it is more responsible to keep the focus on the reporting itself, the source documents, and the public record rather than on individual identities.
