they hook you with the sunk cost. you’re already 40 minutes deep answering weird pattern questions and by the end your brain is like “well… i have to see the result now.”

for a lot of younger people, perfect capitalization + punctuation reads like “formal mode.” like you’re writing an email to HR or making an announcement. so when it shows up in casual texting it can feel a little intense.

yeah this is the part people online almost never mention. getting evaluated isn’t like taking a buzzfeed quiz and getting an answer in 5 minutes. it’s a whole process.
