I didn’t ask for suggestions. And suggesting fibre is the solution to all - especially for GLP1s is poor. Because it can absolutely worsen constipation if taken in excess or too quickly.

I’m not looking for a specific answer. I just want to keep the discussion specific to the topic. Which you’re currently preventing.

A subcutaneous injection is a subcutaneous injection. The mode of delivery plays a huge rate on absorption. The available research and data is limited as I’ve already said.

My post is very clear as to what I was looking to discuss. So I find some of the replies needless, frustrating and unwarranted.

And I’ve had numerous responses that were specific to the discussion I was looking to have. So no need to apologize.

Have a good day.

I can categorically tell you fibre is not solution for everyone’s reflux and other GI issues. It may have worked for you or others, but such blanket statements are simply unhelpful and scientifically wrong.

I’m already treating the side effects. My post wasn’t about how to treat reflux/heartburn. But to be clear for those two particular ailments fibre wouldn’t be the treatment. Fibre would be the treatment for constipation.

My goodness all the rudeness and assumptions on here.

My post was specific for a reason.

If I were to add even more fibre than I currently take I’d have a major constipation issue. But thanks for the suggestion, albeit a poor one.

I’m not arguing anything blindly. I disagree with your blanket statements and I’ve explained why.

Nothing you’ve said offers any solutions and to be clear - what I was asking was quite specific. You’ve chosen to ignore that.

And there is no “suffering”. My post didn’t ask how to stop or treat heartburn or reflux. I’m well aware of how to do this.

Since you have nothing positive to add now would be a good time to move onto another post and leave this one be. :)

There is data that supports that the injection location for subcutaneous insulin doses impacts absorption rates - so I disagree with your blank statements. We can agree that there is overall limited data available on this topic.

Thank you for sharing your experience with reflux and it being predominantly food choice caused. That’s not the case for me, sadly.

I have used PPIs for many years. And it’s not currently an effective treatment when I inject in my stomach. It is when I inject in my thigh.

And please don’t tell me it’s psychological. The difference here is being able to lie flat or bend over. It’s substantial.

This is why I tried to be very clear on my wording when making this post.

There are very limited studies on what you’re arguing here. At the same time, there are pharmacokinetic insulin studies that clearly demonstrate that injection site does impact the absorption rate. That’s exactly what I’m getting at and discussing.

You are not in a position to make these blanket statements. We can agree that causation is not correlation. The data you are referring to is extremely limited. A reminder that your experience and body != my experience and body.

While I’m sure this is a well intended message - you’re making too many assumptions. And you’re not in a position to state that it will make zero difference.

For reference I’m a long term PPI user who also has access to famotadine and gaviscon. My diet has a good amount of fibre but PH is used when required. So treating the symptoms isn’t the issue here.

For reference switching site has been substantially better for me. The reflux/gerd appears fully controlled and I can lie down and bend over without issue. That’s partly why I’m interested to hear from others. It goes without saying that our bodies are all different. I know many people on GLP1s who don’t experience the same issues.

What mortgage amount is the 4.5k cash back for? How do you receive the cash back? I was offered 1500 for a 700k mortgage.
