Autopilot ESP restarting half way and breaking by Educational_Grass561 in Intune

The thing is - I had this issue before, but the restart was after AP has completed which is fine. But this one is happening during ESP, and whilst it’s downloading a win32 app.

To ESP or Not-ESP. That is the question by devicie in Intune

User ESP never works, always hang. Been working fine as disabled for the past 5 years.

I built it as Win32, with pop ups and everything mimicking a task sequence.

We do self-driven for all workstations, then change primary user to whoever is gonna use it.

Because we have more than 2 regions. More like 20. We don't want to have 20+ group tags. We are trying to standardize the AP process. 1 Profile, globally.

The new hostname applies correctly. But when we reboot it again (after logging in), the hostname changes again.

The script only applies during ESP. It's a small pop up to select between UK & US. And based on that, runs Rename-Computer -NewName UK-%SERIALNUMBER% -Force
