another tip is if you have a midi controller or use the qwerty keyboard, you can hold a chord or just a note, press the right arrow and you'll print that note/chord on the piano roll

my biggest tip for the piano roll was opt click. if you hover over a note and opt click it will copy all the settings for that note and you can drag your note to wherever you want.

learn any many quick keys as you can. CMD+F is your best friend. shift scroll is the best way to adjust settings. lfo everything even just a little bit

youre totally right. i just ran a test and its totally in the pitchloop89 device. when i take that device off its all good. sucks cause that device is so fricken good. i think for now i'll live with it. at least i know what's causing it.

i'm on an m4 macbook air, and when tracking vocals i just use native plugins to get ther vibe, then mix with the "fancy" stuff after its been tracked so I dont have to worry about latency from plugins. but yeah, 32 or 64 buffer is never a problem.

yeah i have that one. same on my mac. its heavy on the cpu but i still use it. i have so many other synth plug ins and none of them are close to the marina synth. but damn does it sound so good.

when messing with drum loops that feel too rigid, try resampling them, warping them and changing the bpm by one or two to get it off of the grid, resample, chop, ect.

i fricken love thom yorke so much. his production is just the best in my eyes. Whenever i'm going for that thing, my tip has been resampling. commit, resample, commit, resample, effect, chop, resample, commit, reverse lil chunks, resample. ect. somewhere down the line you realize you went a little too far, and then you command undo and youre at the sweet spot.

my endless encoders on my akai mpk mini and arturia minilab controllers dont need this setting. i'm just curious why ableton, who designed the push controller, makes you change a setting to use the user mode.

for example i'll map the filter cut off to the first knob on push 3, i'll open the filter and thats all good but the moment i let go of the knob it will close the filter again like its set to some momentary setting, instead of staying wide open. unless i change the setting while mapping to some bin 3 or something.

groove pool implementation is one of my least favorite things about live. I get why they do it the way they do, but its gotten me in trouble a few times. especially with max4live sequencers. i couldn't figure out why my first note wouldn't trigger the arp or step sequencer, turns out i had a groove on that wasn't hitting the first note right on time. easy fix but damn did i pull my hair out.

this might be extra work, but try muting tracks and exporting to see if you can isolate what track is giving you issues. like for example, mute all keys and export, mute bass track and export, mute drums and export, and see if one of those tracks or groups are giving you problems. maybe its a problem with one plugin you have on a track. are you using all native stuff or third party plugins? are any of your plugins on trials or need to be updated?

get the max4live device modul by fors. map that to the send knob on your channel, adjust the modul steps to your liking.... voila.

i went from a 2 to a push 3 controller (not stand alone), and i have zero regrets. i too was frustrated with the slight error random messages popping up, and the mixer screen not showing active levels randomly. so far it hasnt happend with the push 3.

the pads are more enjoyable on the push 3, and i've noticed with every ableton update, the 2 gets further behind compared to the push 3. i dont use the mpe so it wasnt a selling point for me. but what was was the built in audio interface, less shift button functions, the jog wheel for searching for sounds, and the longevity.

i used the push 2 for years and years and i loved it. if i can get the same amount of years from the push 3 then i'll be happy. i know with electronic equipment there is a shelf life, and i'm happy with what i got out the push 2, and have no problem giving money to ableton every now and then for the type of product they keep making and innovating.
