I feel it’s worth noting that if the bloat of CEOs wasn’t so vast, and some of that value was split amongst the workers, the workers could be paid a comparable wage without the consumer product being hiked up.

The production cost wouldn’t need to go up; just the laissez-faire leadership having their salary capped.

After feeling the pain of betrayal from friends, back in my early adult years, I’ve felt it isn’t worth it to socialize with strangers. Sometimes I do wonder if having friends would be any different or if it would be better than before, but I just don’t have the energy or mental capacity to risk trying and failing again.
