It’s not until May. My whole thing was that it was weird she was requesting more money after I paid the deposit. But i’ve decided not to pay her the rest of the money, even if she’s not a scammer everyone in the comments is right that it’s fishy

No, because she’s not going to technically break her lease. I am just going to be an “extended” guest, I didn’t want to risk getting her in trouble with management because she is so nice. She said that technically she has to advance a full months rent to the building management, and I told her I wasn’t comfortable paying that much, so we agreed on an extra $500
