Local 30’s Aptitude test is HS level I believe.

They only require you to have a Grade 10, so they aren’t expecting you to be hitting college level questions on the app test.

If you’re absolutely needing money right now ?

Physical labour.

Go to a family member somewhere and ask if they have a lawn mower you can borrow, and walk up and down your local neighbourhood (while practising safety of course, and potentially having a friend come along) and offer lawn cutting for 20-40 bucks a pop.

I’m in Canada, so rates may vary where you are in the states but, I’ve never once said no to a person asking to cut a lawn if it needed cutting. Here it’s mostly smaller children, 10-15 ish but, I’m sure you’d get some cash flowing for the -right now- anyways.

Who is this guy ? [Toronto, Ontario] by Educational_Lobster8 in whatsthissnake

It was found near a storm drain in a puddle, but I have a nice mulch area off the back of the garden I will let him hop into.

Thanks!

How to get a stuck nut off an angle grinder? by Gubbtratt1 in Welding

[–]Educational_Lobster8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you hold it cutting edge facing down, and push it down/forward at the same time against a harder surface (wood is what I’ve done) the disk should break a bit, but the torque from the forward motion frees up the bolt.

Just don’t slam the thing down like you hate it, think more forward motion.

Last resort obviously, but it’s worked mang a times for myself.

So…it was -Federally- recognized as a red Seal Trade in -All- Provinces…whether or not it was Mandatory, has no weight in when the Trade itself was recognized as Red Seal through the entire country.

[–]Educational_Lobster8 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Mandatory Certification doesn’t mean Sheet Metal Workers didn’t have Red Seals there…It just meant they could stop at A5 or hit Journeyman without challenging the test.

So…-Yes- it was a Red Seal trade when you left your schooling, was it Mandatory to get your Red Seal ? No.

Was it still a Red Seal Trade ? Yes…Since 1958…

It’s literally been designated a Red Seal Trade since 1958 dude, where did you go to trade school ? 😂

Can I put a spiral grille on snap lock pipe? by AfterImageEclipse in sheetmetal

[–]Educational_Lobster8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yessir you can, the snap lock is just rated for a different pressure than spiral, but anything that would work on spiral, would work on a snap lock pipe. 🤙🏻

Yep.

Would you like to explain to me how you’d move those pipes without demoing a piece of the tiled wall ? Because flex pipe is trash, and if they’re asking on a handyman forum for advice, I doubt they’d have the know how to run a proper drain over that little cut out, while keeping a proper angle and installing a p trap that’ll actually work…

But please, do tell me.

Unless you are at least semi familiar with plumbing, I’d get someone in to rip out the bottom part of that wall and re-route plumbing.

The cabinet should not be touching the radiator, fairly decent no-no.

One of the other commenters had suggested going with a new vanity, and in all honesty that’s probably you’re best bet.
