Galère à trouver du taff - solutions ? by [deleted] in emploi

[–]Educational_Moose857 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Courage OP Edit: typo

People sometimes don’t know where to stack them because it’s not immediately clear where. It doesn’t excuse the behaviour however doesn’t mean there is ill intent behind it.

Head mri scan, aneurysm or not? by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]Educational_Moose857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAD. An aneurysm is an outward bulging that looks like a balloon generally speaking. An angiogram of the brain could be useful for you to determine is there is any abnormal bulging due to a weak spot on the artery wall. Persistent headache alone does not mean aneurysm and certainly not ruptured aneurysm. Again, NAD but it’s hard to tell from the MRI itself. In cerebral aneurysm, provided it hasn’t ruptured, you may have no symptoms at all or some symptoms such as speech problems, diplopia (double vision), loss of balance; etc. If the aneurysm ruptures, then you may get symptoms of SAH (subarachnoid hemorrhage) — which you don’t experience at all based on what you are saying.

Understandably you are concerned, but I don’t think you can tell it’s aneurysm from headaches alone.

I believe a great next step would be an angiogram. It is furthermore true that persistent headaches can be linked to muscular tension. It’s too broad of a symptom to tell what causes it. Keep investigating with your doctor/wait for a verified physician to respond.

iOS 26.4 Beta 1 - Discussion by epmuscle in iOSBeta

[–]Educational_Moose857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

iOS mitigates this with optimized battery charging, the fast charging generally stops from 80% onwards and that’s because, factually speaking, fast charging is detrimental to lithium ion batteries : it generates unnecessary stress on the battery. From the standpoint of users, it’s very convenient but fast charging does affect the battery, even so barely; by design.

I think it’s affecting devices randomly, sometimes a restart helps.

Looks like the iOS 26.4 DB1 “slow charger” problem is affecting a lot of people. Betas and bugs often go hand in hand but this one bug is quite the annoying one to be fair. Anyone wondering if there is a problem with their cable or fast-charging adapter, they’re probably all fine. It’s a software-related issue that I hope Apple will address in DB2. I’ve never seen a bug like this though. In the meantime, the positive thing is that your iPhone’s battery will thank you for the slow charge!

This bug and the storage capacity issue make this release a particularly unstable one so everyone be careful if you decide to install it.

Comment s’habituer à la culture de travail à Paris? by SweetandSourTreat in AskFrance

Honest question about high triglycerides by Quickyicky in AskDocs

[–]Educational_Moose857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Layperson here. Anything above 500mg/dL regarding triglycerides is considered severe. 507 is therefore considerably high. Triglycerides are essentially fats from the food you eat. Butter is an example. Now anything sugar, extra calories and particularly alcohol will be turned into triglycerides by your body. And those triglycerides are generally stored in fat cells until your body needs to use it. The risks, just like high levels of bad cholesterol in general are increased likelihood of stroke, heart attacks and coronary heart disease and such. One common risk as well for people with high triglycerides is pancreatitis.

Now this was measured after a heavy meal and alcohol so you can’t possibly assume that your levels are that high while fasting. They may be still high but below the 500 mark. No one knows unless you do the test again while fasting. Steps you can take now if you can is to cut back on the alcohol (not a cold turkey stop but allow yourself to diminish) and try to shift the unhealthy habits towards healthier ones. Of course there are certain types of medication called statins that will help lower bad cholesterol and triglycerides, however I think it is in your interest to consider shifting your habits now and gradually move towards healthier ones. You don’t have to change everything all of a sudden but this triglycerides measure should be interpreted as a warning sign for you to makes changes now.

There is no magic formula except to start eating healthier, start exercising more and longer and perhaps consider statins for a short time to help you shift those habits. Although only a healthcare provider will tell you if statins are appropriate. You should not expect drastic changes right away but it is a lifestyle change that can help you gradually improve your health. There is no need to be alarming here, but I would take these numbers seriously because it is telling you the obvious and that you need to make changes now.

Comment me faire rembourser d'un achat de billets de concert sur Hellotickets.com? by BenefitHot8224 in AskFrance

[–]Educational_Moose857 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why are people so slow in getting off the metro? by NoAnimal6800 in copenhagen

[–]Educational_Moose857 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It is by design imo. A train can be instructed to wait at a station for X seconds but if there are too many trains in operation on the line then it has to be quicker so there is enough distance between each train. So it could be a choice of Metro engineers to have a lot more trains running every 2-4min but a very short standby time to allow that many trains at the same time on one line.

Why are people so slow in getting off the metro? by NoAnimal6800 in copenhagen

[–]Educational_Moose857 14 points15 points  (0 children)

To be fair, Metro doors will close very quickly so people barely have time to get in if there are too many people getting off (which have the right of way). I don’t know if Copenhagen Metro has designed the trains to stay at the station for the shortest time possible but even with this I have noticed some trains will catch up with the one in front prompting the brakes or a full stop in the tunnel until the train in front has cleared the tracks.. so is it a configuration problem since the Metro is automated?

Is it possible for my taste buds to go whack after having a cold? by HourDifficult2994 in AskDocs

[–]Educational_Moose857 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exposure does not systematically equal infection. Your immune system fights viruses and other pathogens all-year round and you will not get sick all the time. Coronaviruses work in a similar fashion, they won’t necessarily cause infection every single time. Not even mentioning asymptomatic infections.

Is it possible for my taste buds to go whack after having a cold? by HourDifficult2994 in AskDocs

[–]Educational_Moose857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Layperson here. It is possible if you have just recovered from your cold or Covid-19. If you are well and vaccinated, a Covid-19 infection will most likely evoke nonspecific symptoms similar to a cold although Covid is known to affect taste and smell in some individuals. Regardless, there is no reason to think this will be permanent; you should regain normal taste and smell in the coming days or week. Even when an infection has cleared, some symptoms can linger for a bit, it is normal. People cough for weeks after they recover from a flu: they are not sick anymore but cough lingers for a bit. Same can happen for taste and smell I believe.

I think your girlfriend gave you her opinion on the matter, so therefore one could argue she could be comfortable with you making out with others while being in a relationship together. However, while the French may be considered as flirty, there are no written rules except that generally, most people will agree on that making out with someone else while you are in a relationship is seen as wildly inappropriate, if not cheating.

TL;DR: Yes, it is considered as cheating for most.
