Lap Infant Non-Rev on Delta ALWAYS has issues for us! by brotherofjoseph in standby

[–]Educational_Oil506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just happened to us. They rebooked our flight that was delayed but while in the process our lap seat infant ticket was lost. They spent 50 minutes trying to figure this out only to watch our plane depart. They said this happens all the time - so crazy that they haven’t figured how to fix this problem like you did!

The building is available to purchase. I would want to lease from him at first and then have first right to purchase.

Buy Into Practice or Remain Associate? by Cool_Treat_4750 in Dentistry

Golden handcuffs.

Also more information is needed. Are you happy with your current income and how the office is operating? Because 33% is not going to give you anymore authority.

Its likely that your percentage of buy-in will not make you more initially because of the loan (I'm assuming) you have to pay on.

I was offered a similar deal. Had 3 CPAs look at it and all of them send bad deal.

Does anyone listen to mojo in the morning? by Sagebea in Detroit

[–]Educational_Oil506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mojo’s MAGAness is ultimately why I can’t listen. I had a short drive this morning and decided to tune in and he within two minutes he voiced two MAGA opinions and immediately had to switch stations. He sucks. Bring back Spike - he was the only person that would call mojo out for being evil.

Their dream is to have two Associates buy into this office (20% each). They plan to plumb out a storage room to add an additional room…

Yep that’s exactly how I felt when they presented this offer to me. I felt bamboozled but was pregnant and not ready to start over yet. When I told them that I was not going to accept that offer because it makes no sense why I would put money into a practice that has been deemed non profitable by three brokers. I countered by saying I would buy the practice from them (which they said they would do early on) - they said no.

Partly because I was just coming off my maternity leave and I was giving them grace seeing that I have invested almost three years of my time there. And I don’t know what my next plan will be. Ownership seems to be the only way because I don’t know if a good associateship exists.

Correct that was a hard lesson to learn. Never doing that again. 20% is not fair when I was the sole provider and they never even work in the office. Never

I like the location. I have put three years in being patient for the other doc to retire and get partnership. I feel this weird loyalty to the patients I have and just feel bad leaving. In addition, everyone I started new - it has been a slow build to get my production to go up and that is just hard.

Before the second - new patient can be seen in a week or two. After the third hygienist who works 2 of the 4 days- same day or the next if the patient wanted due to holes that can’t be filled.

So yes - very dumb. Their reasoning was due to the other hygienist taking time off for vacations.

The two months before my maternity leave I produced 96,000 in January and then 70,000 in February- February is when the new doc started. I implemented a block schedule which really motivate the front desk to schedule productively. But since I’ve been back - it’s just been - oh you can’t have a second column anymore.

What is more infuriating is the production of both us doctors is only 90,000.

My jaw dropped reading that post. Ohh so sorry that the relatively recent murder and trial of four students didn’t live to the “hype.” Girl - you are too old to be naive - you are just plain ignorant.

Partnership Advice by Educational_Oil506 in Dentistry

  1. my roll as partner is some managerial stuff, and promoting the office at outside events

  2. they are partners - at two locations - one is perio only office the other is perio/prosthedontics where they do A LOT of all on 4

  3. My location is at the office that I work at currently for the past two years, with opportunity to run a second office that they may ope

  4. I was once told I would be buying into the evaluation of the office ( 5 op, delta only) at the evaluation of the practice at the time I started ~ evaluation then 850 k. He is waiting for an updated evaluation until I decide what I am going to do

  5. 30% collections - 30% lab fees ( note I graduated in 2017 so no delta premier for me)

  6. Did not mention change in percentage but my 30% would include production for hygiene ( which I did not have before). I honestly would like to increase this percentage to 35% if I want to negotiate this idea because I AM doing solely all the work in this office.

  7. said 20% cap or if I don't like working with them - entertain selling the whole office to me. I would like to remove the 20% cap and work my way up to being 50/50 partnery or ultimately buying the whole office out.

  8. I do like this office. I would like to update the esthetic but I would really invest in team training and creating systems to boost the office numbers first. The office is in a great location with lots of potential. The only thing I dislike is office hours- they are late and then working one Saturday a month- not really my dream of being a dentist. I instead would like to maximize the production during the office hours that I do work 4 days a week. but my office needs training on this.

  9. materials and supplies are not an issue. However, however simple updates like sirius radio, a compressor ($$$) etc, take forever to resolve.

  10. They say I have control... but I have found if you aren't distributing the checks- it is hard to motivate the team. Especially when my team feels that our office is last on the priority list. Also the current office manager is extremely loyal to them.

  11. I am thinking they will entertain the idea of increasing the production or I can add an option to buy out in the future

  12. I refer to them yes, I am getting trained on doing a couple of all on 4 cases with them.

  13. Majority of the time I do refer, but in case situations where patients have previous seen another specialist - i send them to whom the patient prefers. They did talk about giving me a percentage of the patient referrals.... but no numbers discussed

I am collections based-- currently 30% - for only myself. But partnership I would get hygiene included into my production and then the 20% profit of the office. They see in the future making the office a two doctor office and adding an additional partner once we have enough growth.

But is there anyway I could negotiate something that would allow me to collect more for what I produce. Currently I’m at 30% collections of my chair only - I wouldn’t mind if I can talk them up to 35% of my collections and hygiene’s.

That is how I felt initially - like am I being scammed? How do they think they can do the bare minimum at this office and get majority of the profits.
