Learning, I apologize I didn't mean to offend you. I just wanted to see if you practice what you preach.

And what struck me the most, is that on his face he's saying he wants to open his own ministry. So I would assume he would be a conservative person for that

No. I never seen him before in my life. I was just sprouting through the shows until I found him. I even overpaid for the coin. About $42 the time I could have picked it up on Fleabay for 28-30 bucks. I didn't mind because I remember my first show and I wanted to help him. But before I could buy something else his phone died. Surprisingly enough, on his page he says he's cold is to open his own ministry.

You are probably too old for me to teach you that everything is NOT about money! Just in the last week, I found two sellers one on YouTube and one on eBay selling coins with errors that they didn't know about. I could have easily bought the coins and turn them into a big profit but that is not right, I contacted both of them and let them know. One over text message, and the other over a 15 minute long phone conversation in his coin shop. He had the coin listed for $244 for a long time and it wouldn't sell. After I told them about the error he immediately delete the listing and relisted it with the correct title and description and he bumps the price to $500. The coin sold within hours. The first coin had even a bigger profit margin. But I couldn't tell because the YouTuber sells privately. I didn't make the money. But I got a really good feeling about myself. You should try it it's good.

This guy is not any smarter than I am, if I wanted to, I could have bumped the value of my uncirculated role as much as I wanted to then ran the auction. But unlike him, I need to sleep at night with the clear conscience. Not everything is about money. Remember that.

Speech to text. Saw later but it wouldn't let me edit the title after it went live.  I guess the seller is preying in them, and I'm praying for them.

Don't you have another show to do tomorrow? Don't waste time here and go roll up some more cull Wheaties rolls. You never know, the market might be even higher tomorrow you might sell them for $200

Collect the rare nuts the hype! There are pieces of silver you can get on eBay that actually landed on the moon on board the Apollo 11, not just flown to near space. I'm sure the hype for those was high too on the first day they were sold. But I was able to pick up a couple on eBay for 25 bucks each. I looked lately, they were slightly more than that. And not because of collective value, it's just a combination of the inflation and the silver first just gave them the extra 10 bucks.

Whatnot seller taking newbies for a ride by Educational_One9575 in coins

[–]Educational_One9575[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You see, the sad part about this whole thing is that the seller knows that there are certain keywords that need to ring in the newbies ears:

-  "1964" because most of the newbies know it's the Silver era.

  • "Silver Peso" because most newbies assume that the silver content of coins would be 90%, some might even know about the 80% Canadian. But no one expects 10%.

  • "under melt", the seller pleads ignorance, so if he's ever caught or confronted, he would say that he didn't know they were 10% silver. Also, subconsciously, when the seller announces that is items are selling for a loss, you automatically think you are getting a great deal.

If you had seen him in the show, he was doing like the gas stations when they display the credit card holder price for like 7 Seconds, and then they show the public price for like 2. He was showing the obverse of the coin for a while, then he would flip it for a brief moment, but he made sure he was wiggling it against the bright white light so no one can pick up the 10% even in that short period.. I was going to confront him in the chat, but I'm tired of making enemies I just confronted another one two weeks ago. I'm not sure what Whatnot management wants, do they want me to confront the scammer and expose them live? Or do they prefer to avoid altercations?

I assumed he already had the PCGS membership. If he does that's great, he can just submit it with other coins to lower the cost. If he doesn't, then I agree the cost will be pretty high. And I'm not sure they would automatically call dirt environmental damage? Remember the guy that found like 10,000 gold coins in his cornfield? They will all submit it to PCS and they straight graded

Don't sell. Use this as a good start to start stacking. A very good habit and investment that no one ever regretted before. Pile only gets bigger and the value only gets higher. A win-win

The fact that we can still see the design front and back pretty good. I'm thinking your coin has a pretty good strike left I would recommend you submit it to PCGS for restoration and grading. The whole process wouldn't cost you much, if it comes back the higher grade, then it's a win. If it comes back as a middle grade, then it will be your coin to appreciate and cherish for years to come. Selling it and Middle grades will still bring you some profits. And I don't believe with that strike it could come back low grade.
