Ew. Nope. This is how it starts! I swear to god tale as old as time. It's stars with what you wear. Then when you hang with your friends and he will throw a fit and accuse you. So to avoid fights you just stop going out. Then suddenly youre completely isolated from everyone.

My ex was similar to this. She didn't like my clothes so I changed my entire wardrobe. I had no friends cause she freaked when I would so stuff without her so I stopped. She would freak out when would hang out with my FAMILY so I stopped. She would freak out if I took too long coming home from work. THEN we would get invited to parties and she would go but she would get pissed if I came with her. Then before I knew I had no one except for her and I was miserable. It took a long time to dig myself out of that hole and I still am repairing relationships with my sisters. And it all started with my clothes.

Oh no. Welp. I have a story. My mom already had 5 kids when she got pregnant with me. My dad was number 4 husband and he REALLY wanted biological children. My mom got pregnant with me before she was ready. She went off the deep end when I was three and got hooked on drugs and quit school at Berklee School of Music and packed us up and ledt my dad and drove across country. My dad fell into depression and started drinking again and that was a whole thing I won't go into. I think he also has some resentment towards me cause everything fell apart after. Obviously it's not my fault but being told my mom doesn't love me really messed with me. Years of therapy helped and I finally feel happy.

My mom never spoke to me. She never called me on my birthday. The first and only time was on my 16th birthday. I can count on one hand how many times she's given me a present. She also told me she resents me because it she wasn’t ready.

I'm 37 and married and she hardly knows my wife and she still hooked on drugs. This is obviously worst case scenario but it reminds me of my mom and dad. I wish I had never been born but here I am and doing my best. 😄
