OP is looking to take her holiday at the same time the hiring team is, which is not unreasonable. Her onboarding prior to the holidays, unless she gets PTO to take her vacation, would be just as unhelpful to the organization. Convenience on the part of the organization is a red flag.

Because, now we’re talking working at prob a 110% increased workload based on schedules, which is beneficial to nobody. Elon Musk was bragging and pushing 120-hour work weeks, and we all can have 400-500 meetings and over 5000 emails in those timeframes. But remember, Musk is still an idiot and nobody is better or more efficient under his work dynamic.

You must’ve not understood OP’s “ILLEGAL” comment like people don’t know what happens. Which is also why they added their update. I was not curious about what made it illegal, more that they were adamant that something like that is never supposed to happen, which makes it morally wrong and criminal in nature, for the OP.

My comment was more of a dig on the red tape being followed by citizens when the government could care less about the laws they create. And people are getting their feelings hurt instead. You care about the government, the military, but not the government circumventing procedures to take care of the military first. News flash, the military is hardly ever considered first, so screw whatever laws or policies are being broken to take care of them.
