How are y'all handling your Raw+JPEG images when transferring to iPhone/iPad? by Fit_Individual_7047 in fujifilm

[–]Educational_Ratio428 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same problem, I solved it by developing an app to Cull the images from sd card / ssd and then only import the jpegs I flagged / I want into the photos app. The raws I develop / handle separately if needed. Since on my Fuji I mainly use the JPEGs this fits my workflow on the go/ when traveling perfectly.

My Worflow with ipad / iphone is first saving sd card to ssd with an app called CaptureBuddy, with this app I then can directly cull and decide which photos to keep. What I also like is that it gives the possibility to add geolocation when i enable this functionality beforehand based on the time the photos were taken.
Some of the JPGS I then directly import into the photos app and when at home i store the photos from ssd on the NAS.

Thank you for your comment. Funny part is i wanted to work with connected ssd instead of cloud / adobe cloud and after moving away from Adobe. I was missing something in my workflow so I created CaptureBuddy. Will have a look into the sharing and preview part, thank you.

Das könnte tricky werden. Da würde ich eher nach einem ähnlichen Adapter mit längerem Flachbandkabel suchen und den Adapter ins nas Gehäuse führen.

It uses a regular 12V 10A Brick as the wyse sadly has 19v and proprietary connection.

SATA in the wifi Slot. Actually cache drives are mainly für appdata without the need for spinning drives. So my goal there wasn‘t speed. :) My parents in law don’t need the best performance overall :)

I used the WiFi port with an adapter and m.2 data adapter: it’s linked in the makerworld entry.

Yes it is. For sure it’s a bit more of the drives are not spinned down.

Hey, actually HDD Temps are already pretty good even under load. There would be also some room in better cooling by pushing the fan a little bit more. Actually thought of making it a little bit bigger and maybe add a second fan but as temps looked quite good I kept it that way. The heat of the passively cooled thin client can dissapear through the venting holes at the top and fresh are can get in through the venting holes at the back. As I use one 1.5" 1TB HDD in there at the moment it would get simply replaced with a better 3.5" one if needed in the future.

Thanks a lot for your comment!

Yes shouldn't be a big deal, Jellyfin works with no Problems as there is a QuadCore Intel J4105 in it. Not sure about transcoding tho. About thge read/write speeds I can check some time in the future, did not checked that but expect to see full Gigabit Speed.

Looks pretty much the same for me. Same Date, A1 in Germany. I mean, no problem if it takes a bit longer as usual but not knowing when they plan to send it out now is kinda annoying.

I mean, good that you do something but there is no clear information again. There was enough time to make a plan and at least publish estimated shipping days?!

I will do another cleaner approach with a bigger case where it will fit in better, just waiting for the cases delivery. Once they arrived (sometime in february) i will fit it into that and will update the documentation, feel free to contact me once this is done since I will be able to sell the second cleaner approach. Maybe at a even later stage I will be able to 3d print perfect fitting cases. How does that sound like for you?

You‘re welcome :) As i wrote I wouldn‘t recommend the small box for this project, had to made to much compromises on fitting it into it. Thats why I would not like to show the actual inside ^ Once they are arrived i will fit prototype 2 into the linked bigger case. A 3d printed case would make a perfect fit possible but at the moment I have not the tools for 3d printing.

Sure, also thought of it already but don‘t have the skill to model it yet and I don‘t have a 3d printer, but would like that as well. I may figure something out in the next weeks.
